MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: DC United vs New England
Friday, May 22nd, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: DC United and New England have their first of two meetings in the 2015 season, with the second to come in the nation's capital onJune 21at RFK Stadium. United comes off an absolute mess of a game last weekend against Philadelphia, failing to score against a team that has the worst defense in the league.
It took until the 93rd minute for the Union to find the goal that sealed United's fate, when Zach Pfeffer took a feed from Fabinho in the box and sent the Union fans into an absolute frenzy. There were two goals in the game that were disallowed, which added to the questionable refereeing we have seen time and again in MLS this season. DC United did not put a single shot on goal, so they essentially got what they deserved anyway.
This will be New England's third game in seven days, while coming off the 4 - 2 loss at Kansas City. The Revs got on the board first to make it 1 - 0 on a goal from Juan Agudelo, but they were unable to stop Kansas City from scoring four unanswered goals afterwards. They were able to find a late goal from Caldwell to pull it to within 4 - 2, but that is all just paperwork.
Now the Revs return home, where they have not lost this season, having three wins and three draws in six games at Gillette Stadium.Andy Dorman will not be in the Revs lineup, after picking up a yellow card against Kansas City. Jermaine Jones’ attitude is getting old, and all we see him doing for 90 minutes is bark and try to get in everyone's face, and we saw Dom Dwyer absolutely laugh in his face time and again, with the slew of crap Jones threw at him. Jones was also responsible for the fight at the end of the New York Red Bulls match, and it gets extremely tiresome to watch him run his mouth for 90 minutes. It is starting to affect the Revolution's game as well, because his lip service is getting everyone on the other side dying to shove it down his throat, and this week Kansas City did exactly that, and then some.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Jermaine Jones needs to lose his almighty attitude, because the referees are also now starting to keep an ear and eye open to his ridiculousness. If it continues, he will find himself costing his team when they least need it, and finding himself sent off the field or even suspended.
With DC United being completely shut down by the Union last weekend, they will likely be ready to put that behind them and give the Revs all they can handle. At least they have a few extra days off to recover, while New England just played an ugly gameon Wednesday.
With both teams coming off hugely disappointing results last time out, it makes this match even bigger. Only two points separate the two atop the Eastern Conference standings.
The suggestion in this one comes in the form of the handicap line with United, and the +0.5 at +110 is the play on the road side. We could certainly see a draw here, since the two teams are feeling the pressure to atone for poor outings last time out.We know this will be a physical game, and the yellow cards might be out in numbers. In the final meeting last year, we saw five yellows and a red card, and we know these two are not exactly fond of each other, to put it mildly.
Slap down the +0.5, and let's see if we do indeed see the draw that cashes our ticket.
