MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Columbus vs New York
Saturday, October 18th, 2014By Ej Garr
MLS Odds:One point separates the Crew and the Red Bulls as they meet for the 55th time in MLS action. With only 2 matches left in the regular season, these points will be vital for both clubs as they can even reach as high as the 2 spot in the Eastern Conference if all falls in place.
Columbus has won 6 of their last 9, with a draw and 2 losses mixed in, and has made a solid run towards the post-season of late. New York has secured at least one of the post season spots, but can improve to as high as second with 6 points out of their last 2 regular season matches -- both against playoff-bound clubs -- and finish the year vs Kansas City.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Tim Cahill is back from suspension for the red card two matches ago, so he hopes to lift the Red Bulls and support Wright-Phillips and Thierry Henry up front.
He has not produced as he had hoped on the season, with only a couple of goals to show, so now would be the time to bring his game to that level that was expected of him when he was in Brazil helping the Aussies.
Columbus is 0 - 1 - 1 vs NY this year, with a 4 - 1 loss the last time they were here in July, and only have 2 wins in their last 14 away games.
This is certainly a big match for both of them, and Columbus does not actually have that 5th spot 100% secure yet. There is a 6 percent chance that Toronto can still catch them, even though we know Toronto is playing terrible of late.
I will play this Over 2.5 and 3, assuming no one will be sitting back letting the game come to them, and New York's defense can be taken advantage of in transition. They have given up many suspect goals over the late stretch of the season.
