MLS Soccer Betting at BetDSI: Columbus vs Dallas
Friday, September 4th, 2015By Ej Garr
MLS Odds: Columbus and Dallas both enter the weekend in playoff positions with each in third place in their respective conferences, but the depth of both teams will be tested as many significant absences for international duty take their toll.
A combined 14 players will be missing from theSundayevening affair at MAPFRE Stadium.Dallas will be without five players, as Tesho Akindele, Fabian Castillo, Moises Hernandez, Blas Perez and Je-Vaughn Watson all join their national teams for either the Euro 2016 or World Cup qualifying matches. Columbus will be without nine players, including Harrison Afful, Sergio Campbell, Waylon Francis, Kevan George, Kei Kamara, Cederick Mabwati, Justin Meram, Ben Swanson and Wil Trapp.
How's that for significance?
So who will be on the field this weekend?
Here is the projected formation for the Crew, as revealed on their team page.
Goalkeeper: Nick Rimando
Defenders: Chris Klute, Tyson Wahl, Michael Parkhurst, Hector Jimenez
Midfielders: Tony Tchani, Mohammed Saeid, Ethan Finlay, Federico Higuain, Cederick
Forward: Aaron Schoenfeld
The Crew acquired Nick Rimando from Real Salt Lake as the deadline came to a close, and he obviously provides a huge boost to the back line in Columbus.
Dallas has only played one game this season without Fabian Castillo, and things did not go so well in his absence when Kansas City spanked Dallas 4 - 0 onMay 29.
The Texas club will also be without Mauro Diaz because of tightness in his quad, leaving manager Óscar Pareja with plenty of homework this week to decide who he has available this weekend.
Dallas hopes to stay on track after snapping their three-game losing streak last weekend, with a 2 - 0 win over Salt Lake at home.
Dallas has not had an easy time away from home this year, winning only three games of the 12 they have played outside of Toyota Stadium, and only have one win in their last eight games on the road.
Columbus we all know have always played well in their confines of MAPFRE Stadium, but they only have three home games left to play here of their seven remaining games in the regular season.
The Crew will play four of their next five games on the road, with stops at Philadelphia, DC United, Red Bull Arena and Toronto on deck before the season finale at home against first place DC United.

Quick Analysis & Prediction
Amazingly, the line setters do not see the significance of all these absences, and have set the total to go Over the 2.5 at -140.
That my friends, is called asleep at the wheel, as we have caught them doing this on plenty of occasions this season.
You predict who will score, because we don't see even a single goal coming here, much less the three that would crash this 2.5.
At +120, there is no reason to leave this Under 2.5 sitting there as the line setters completely dropped the ball towards their offer.
This is what we call aSundaygiveaway, as we have no clue what the line setters see here, with so much offense between the teams not even in the building, much less on the field.
We hope you enjoy your weekend with a cashed +120 ticket in this Under 2.5 at +120 in Ohio, to close out the round of MLS matches at MAPFRE Stadium.
