Soccer Betting: Three fixtures remain in the La Liga campaign, and there is still much to decide at the top of the table, as well as the European qualification positions. Real Madrid and Barcelona are tied with 105 goals scored, but Barcelona still holds a two point edge in hopes a La Liga title.

Each club is in the Champions League semifinals. Real Madrid suffered a 2 - 1 defeat in Italy to Juventus, and Barcelona are facing Bayern Munich on Wednesday at Camp Nou. Barcelona sealed Cordoba's fate this past weekend, with a resounding 8 - 0 win over the club that will now face relegation to Segunda Division.

Almeria, Eibar, Deportivo and Granada are the four clubs trying to avoid the final two position that come with demotion, with only four points separating the clubs.

Valencia and Real Madrid take to the pitch as our featured match of the weekend on Saturday, in a battle of two clubs in the top four of the table who each needs wins to maintain their positions.

The round begins Friday, and runs through Monday, so let's take it to the pitch, and see what we can expect this weekend.

    Friday, May 8 - 1 Match

    Espanyol vs Eibar

    3-Way: 1: Espanyol +185 Away ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Eibar +165 Home

Spread: Espanyol Pk -105 ; Eibar Pk -115

    Total 2: Over -125 ; Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

It is hard to express the success we have had fading Eibar in the second half of the campaign. Time and again this club has failed to repeat the success they had in the first half of the campaign, and they now find themselves only one point above the relegation zone.

Espanyol has only lost one of their last nine matches, which came at the hands of Barcelona, so we expect nothing to change down the stretch.

Espanyol Pk Draw no Bet action goes on the board, as we continue to expect Eibar to fall out of the race.

    Saturday, May 9 - 4 Matches

Featured Match Valencia vs Real Madrid

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Valencia +565

    Madrid -235

    Draw +425

    Spread:

    Valencia +1.5 -125

    Madrid -1.5 +105

    Total 3.5:

    Over -105

    Under -115

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Big match for each club, and both having different reasons to need three points.

Valencia sits three points above Sevilla for the lone Champions League qualification position that comes with fourth place in the table. They also only need to make up four points on Atletico Madrid to move to third, which comes with advancement directly to Group Stage, so there is plenty on the line for Els Taronges.

Madrid can expect Barcelona to take three points from Sociedad this weekend, so there is no room for a let down with only three matches left in the campaign. Any slip now will almost assuredly give Barcelona the championship, and they have easily obtained their Group Stage entry to Champions League next year.

We are surprised that the line setters offer a mere -125 on the +1.5 handicap line, knowing that Madrid also has a huge match this week at home in the second leg of their tie with Juventus, down 2 - 1 from the first leg in Italy.

There is certainly room for a play there, and Valencia has just as much motivation to need a result here. Let it be a one goal game, because that is all we need to see here to cash the +1.5 ticket on the away side.

Dep La Coruna vs Athletic Bilbao

    3-Way: 1: Deportivo +525 Away ; X: +320 Draw ; 2: Bilbao -180 Home

    Spread: Deportivo +1 -115 ; Bilbao -1 -105

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

Again, each club has a different reason to go out and get a big result, as Bilbao is only six points out of Europa League entry behind Villarreal. Making up that difference is certainly an uphill battle, the potential should be enough to see them wanting these three points.

Deportivo is currently holding the final relegation position that comes with 18th place, and have not found three points since February 6, spanning 13 fixtures.

Dare we take an Over 2.5 here? We know each club has not exactly been scoring much lately, but this is do or die time for each club for the reasons mentioned, and neither can simply afford to sit back and hope something happens.

We are going to do it, and hopefully a 2 - 1 scoreline helps us cash this Over 2.5 at -105.

    Real Sociedad vs Barcelona

    3-Way: 1: Sociedad +3200 Away ; X: +1550 Draw ; 2: Barcelona -1900 Home

    Spread: Sociedad +3 -105 ; Barcelona -3 -115

    Total 4: Over -125 ; Under +105

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Well, the line setters have certainly made their statement about this match, with a Barcelona -3 handicap line being offered.

Sociedad has nothing to gain or lose with 43 points, and have basically done enough to stay in top flight, no matter the result at Camp Nou.

We will not have the benefit of the result in Champions League on Wednesday as this post gets submitted, but we can only imagine that Barca fared well, having a depleted Bayern club to deal with, but either way, Barcelona will likely control the possession battle by a significant number, and win this match rather handily. The -3 is the only real offer to suggest here, as Barcelona has everything going exactly as they hoped it would.

    Cordoba vs Granada

    3-Way: 1: Cordoba +810 Away ; X: +355 Draw ; 2: Granada -245 Home

    Spread: Cordoba +1 +125 ; Granada -1 -145

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

We know Cordoba is on their way to Segunda Division, and Granada might be the next victim, sitting in 19th spot with 28 points.

Granada did a find job against Getafe last weekend to get a much needed win, as they were the only club in the bottom seven of the table to find three points last weekend.

Just because Cordoba is being sent down, we don't expect them to simply stop fighting with the remaining three matches.

There is no room for a play here, other than the total of 2.5 to go Over at -115, especially after seeing Cordoba give up eight goals last weekend, albeit against Barcelona.

    Sunday, May 9 - 4 Matches

    Elche vs Villarreal

    3-Way: 1: Elche +810 Away ; X: +400 Draw ; 2: Villarreal -270 Home

    Spread: Elche +1.5 -125 ; Villarreal -1.5 +105

    Total 2.5: Over -125 ; Under +105

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Villarreal is giving away every opportunity they have had to maintain their position in Europe, and have now gone 11 matches without a win in league play and Europe League action combined.

Elche might be a dangerous matchup for this Villa club, as they have won four of their last five matches, and are playing their best football this campaign, although they have nothing left to gain or lose with 40 points in 13th place.

If the line setters want to offer a +1.5 at -125 on an away team who is playing much better than Valencia is right now, than so be it.

    Sevilla vs Celta De Vigo

    3-Way: 1: Sevilla +145 Away ; X: +270 Draw ; 2: Vigo +180 Home

Spread: Sevilla Pk -125 ; Vigo Pk +105

    Total 3: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Sevilla will be playing a Thursday match in the Europe League semifinals, giving them just a couple of days to prepare for Vigo.

We can imagine that Sevilla sees the Champions League spot that is only three points in front of them that Valencia has as obtainable as well, so they will likely keep most of the their starters on the pitch.

With another -125 line on the action, and a Draw no Bet in place, the Sevilla Pk goes in the books as our suggestion.

    Malaga vs Almeria

    3-Way: 1: Malaga +180 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Almeria +165 Home

Spread: Malaga Pk -105 ; Almeria Pk -115

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

We easily enjoyed fading Malaga last weekend, with Elche and the +1 coming in with not only a cover, but an outright win, because we know Malaga is simply terrible.

Almeria at home is the play here, and we turn to the Pk Draw no Bet action at -115 on the home side, continuing to fade this Malaga club who has given up on the campaign.

    Atletico Madrid vs Levante

    3-Way: 1: Atl Madrid -200 Away ; X: +300 Draw ; 2: Levante +670 Home

    Spread: Atl Madrid -1 -115 ; Levante -+1 -105

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

This is tough because we know Levante's defense is atrocious, but Atletico never seems to be able to take advantage of these situations.

Atletico can essentially clinch that last Group Stage spot in the table with three points, so we imagine that Simeone will have his club ready to go out and get these three points in resounding fashion.

The -1 at -115, and the Over 2.5 at +125 both make our suggestion box in this one.

    Monday, May 11 - 1 Match

    Getafe vs Rayo Vallecano

    3-Way: 1: Getafe +270 Away ; X: +270 Draw ; 2: Vallecano +100 Home

    Spread: Getafe +0.5 -120 ; Vallecano -0.5 +100

    Total 2.5: Over -140 ; Under +120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Getafe has obviously given up, and Vallecano has nothing to play for, so this is yet another of those lovely Monday fixtures that no one should be betting.

The proverbial coin-flip on any play we would suggest, makes it a 50/50 chance that one of these clubs will perform to expectation.

Vallecano will likely win this match at home, and even money on the action seems acceptable enough, but minimal funds on the action should be the way to go here.
