Soccer Betting: Real Madrid carried the La Liga banneron Wednesday when they defeated Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals of Champions League. Atletico Madrid had played almost perfect football against Real Madrid since last year's Champions League final, with the two having played eight times since then.

Real Madrid has now quieted the critics who came at them hard after the loss to Barcelona in El Clasico. They face Celta de Vigoon Sundayat Balaidos, and have two points left to make up on Barcelona for top spot in the table. The weekend kicks off at Nuevo Arcángel, with Cordoba hosting Athletic Bilbaoon Friday, while our featured match of the weekend will come at El Prat, with Espanyol hosting Barcelona.

Espanyol sits 10 points out of European contention and will most likely not have enough left in the tank to get back in the discussion. Barcelona obviously has all the motivation, while they also come off a resounding Champions League winon Tuesdaythat earned them a semifinals appearance in Europe's biggest club competition.

Round 33 comes to a close with our normalMondaymatch, which will see Valencia hosting Granada at Mestalla with both clubs needing results for entirely different reasons.

Let's get to the Spanish pitch, and break down all the matches in the round.

    Friday, April 24- 1 Match

    Athletic Bilbao vs Cordoba

    3-Way: 1: Bilbao +110 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Cordoba +285 Home

    Spread: Bilbao -0.5 +110 ; Cordoba +0.5 -130

    Total 2: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

Bilbao is still mathematically alive for a spot in Europe, but making up nine points with only six matches left in the campaign is highly unlikely. They should be able to at least get three of those points at Nuevo Arcángel, when they face a Cordoba team who is almost assured of being sent down.

With three wins and eighteen losses on the campaign, Cordoba really never got on track this year, and with a 21 to 51 goal differential and only one win at home it spells disaster.

We are going to take this Over 2, simply because Bilbao has to at least attempt to chase down the clubs above them, and Cordoba either has an ounce of fight left to give, or they will almost guarantee a season in second tier next year.

    Saturday, April 25- 4 Matches

    Featured Match Barcelona vs Espanyol

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Barcelona -355

    Espanyol +900

    Draw +525

    Barcelona -1.5 -125

    Espanyol +1.5 +105

    Total 3:

    Over -115

    Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

With such a lopsided schedule this weekend in Liga BBVA, this had to be our go-to-game to highlight, since Barcelona needs to maintain their lead atop the table and Espanyol has an outside chance of sneaking in to the European discussion if they basically win out.

Winning out would mean 18 points in the last six fixtures and that would certainly push them to where Espanyol has not been all campaign, but starting that run with Barcelona at home is a daunting task.

Espanyol has gone six straight league matches without a loss at least, and are not playing the worst football in Spain, but this Barcelona team sees the finish line and need points against clubs like Espanyol to secure the path to the end.

We are suggesting this Over 3, at a marginal -115, because Espanyol will certainly not be able to slow down Barca even at home. Espanyol has beaten Barcelona once since 2009, and that will not change this weekend.

    Elche vs Atletico Madrid

    3-Way: 1: Elche +1900 Away ; X: +615 Draw ; 2: Atl Madrid -565 Home

    Spread: Elche +1.5 +140 ; Atl Madrid -1.5 -160

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Atletico Madrid has to resign themselves to the fact that they lost to Real Madrid at the wrong time once again this week after playing so well against them the entire year. They must now regroup after the Champions League defeat that knocked them out of Europe’s biggest club competition hoping it will not carry over into league play.

Luckily, Elche is the club that comes calling this weekend at Vicente Calderón, and Atletico has beaten them three straight times, each time with a 2 - 0 result. We have seen a lot of those 2 - 0 score lines with Atletico this campaign and it has helped us cash some tickets as well.

Elche knows they cannot get into a slugfest with Atletico, and they have done a formidable job slowing down their recent opponents. We are taking this Under 2.5 at even money, expecting yet another 2 - 0 type of win for Atletico, but that line is obviously not user friendly on a side or handicap play.

    Levante vs Getafe

    3-Way: 1: Levante +270 Away ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Getafe +115 Home

    Spread: Levante +0.5 -135 ; Getafe -0.5 +115

    Total 2: Over -110 ; Under -110

    Analysis and Prediction:

The well is full and we keep going back to it when it comes to the Overs with Levante lately.Simply put, Levante is scoring and has given up 60 goals through 33 fixtures. To see a straight 2 on a Levante total is absolutely outrageous, and this has got to be the best suggestion on the board as whole. The first half Over 1 is also just as valuable, so we will let you decide which one is worthy of the action, knowing we can cash either ticket.

    Villarreal vs Real Sociedad

    3-Way: 1: Villarreal +145 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Sociedad +200 Home

Spread: Villarreal Pk -125 ; Sociedad Pk +105

    Total 2.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

Real Sociedad has only beaten Villarreal once in the last 10 meetings in all competitions, which came in a cup match in January, 2014. The club really has nowhere to go, but to hope to finish out the campaign with next year in mind.

Villarreal let a golden opportunity slip by last weekend to secure that final Europa League spot, with only a draw against Cordoba. Those were expected to be the three easiest points one could ask for at a crucial time of the campaign, with only a handful of matches left to play.

Sociedad would love to play spoiler at home and make it that much more difficult for Villa to end up in Europa League, since Villa is 13 points behind a Champions League berth.

If the line setters want to offer a +115 on a 2 - 1 type of match for us to cash an Over 2.5 ticket, then who are we to argue with that?

No argument here, and we should see a wide open match at Anoeta.

    Sunday, April 26- 4 Matches

    Dep. La Coruna vs Malaga

    3-Way: 1: Deportivo +395 Away ; X: +280 Draw ; 2: Malaga -135 Home

    Spread: Deportivo +0.5 +115 ; Malaga -0.5 -135

    Total 2.5: Over +105 ; Under -125

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Let's not waste our reader's time with this write-up. Deportivo 4 - Malaga 4, and how the hell the line setters are offering a +105 on this total to go Over the 2.5 is crazy. Finding three goals in this one should be seen by halftime, and where they go from there should be all it takes to simply sit back and wait for the match to go final to cash the Over 2.5 ticket. Moving on!

    Vallecano vs Sevilla

    3-Way: 1: Vallecano +615 Away ; X: +425 Draw ; 2: Sevilla -245 Home

    Spread: Vallecano +1.5 -125; Sevilla -1.5 +105

    Total 3.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Same story here with some goal scoring, but in all honesty the 3.5 is a little concerning. Sevilla is only six points back of the third Champions League group stage entry, and has every reason to go out and pour in a result, while Vallecano couldn't stop anyone this entire campaign, surrendering 59 goals.

Let's just offer the Sevilla handicap at home here, and lay the -1.5 at a reasonable +105, expecting a resounding home win for the Red and Whites.

Real Madrid vs Celta de Vigo

    3-Way: 1: Madrid -180 Away ; X: +350 Draw ; 2: Vigo +465 Home

    Spread: Madrid -1 -115 ; Vigo +1 -105

    Total 3.5: Over +115 ; Under -135

    Analysis and Prediction:

Real Madrid did it againon Wednesday and are again in the Champions League semifinals, after an amazing 1 - 0 two-legged battle with Atletico Madrid.

We do know that Real is a bit banged up, and they certainly did not have the lineup they had hoped for in their second leg of Europe's biggest club competition, but they will have Marcelo in the lineup, as he was suspended for the CL match.

Madrid has nothing to let up for and they will have some time before Champions League resumes, and we will find out who they will be facing soon enough.

The last time these two played here, Madrid sat almost everyone in a 2 - 0 loss as the season comes to a close with nothing to gain. This time, there is plenty to lose and even more to gain for Real Madrid, so even with some health issues they will have to find a way to get these three points.

We are suggesting the -1 on Real here, at a reasonable -115 for the action.

They should be able to at worst sneak by Vigo, and a 2 - 1 win is at least enough to push the action, so that is our best option for this match.

    Eibar vs Almeria

    3-Way: 1: Eibar +255 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Almeria +115 Home

    Spread: Eibar +0.5 -135 ; Almeria -0.5 +115

    Total 2: Over -140 ; Under +120

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Eibar is down to only three points away from relegation, and we called for it months ago. They have completely fallen apart and let that good start in their first year in La Liga slip away to a slim chance of even staying here more than one campaign.

Almeria is in the same boat, and they are tied at 28 points for the last relegation spot in the table with only 6 matches left to play.

We certainly do not expect Eibar to win away from home down the stretch, so the +115 on Almeria at home to continue to fade Eibar as we have done plenty of late around here.

    Monday, April 27- 1 Match

    Granada vs Valencia

    3-Way: 1: Granada +800 Away ; X: +400 Draw ; 2: Valencia -270 Home

    Spread: Granada +1.5 -125 ; Valencia -1.5 +105

    Total 2.5: Over -125 ; Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Valencia held their own against Barcelona last weekend, although we had to settle for the +2 push because they let Barcelona score that second goal with absolutely no time on the clock.Granada hasn't been able to slow down anyone this campaign, surrendering 57 goals thus far, and this match will certainly add to that.

Valencia should win this match and score all three goals that will both cash this Over 2.5 at -125, and the -1.5 handicap at +105, so pick one or the other or both if you have the room in your bankroll for two plays on the match.
