Soccer Betting: The La Liga campaign comes to a close after this weekend, and although Barcelona and Madrid hold the top two spots in the table, the three clubs below them have some sorting out to do. In the final round, all 20 clubs will see action onSaturday, May 23, and the reason we chose the Valencia / Almeria match as the featured match, is due to the fact that they are each involved with races in the table.

Valencia sits in the fourth position of the table, and they could end up in either of the 3-4-5 position when it is all said and done. They will surely have an eye on the Atletico Madrid match with Granada, because if Atletico and Valencia manage a tie in the table, the goal differential will decide who gets the Champions League group stage entry. At the same token, Sevilla is only a point behind them, and they will be seeking that fourth spot in the table that comes with C.L qualification stages.

Almeria sits in the 19 spot of the table, and it is three points or bust, as a loss would cause them to be sent down to the Segunda Division. However, Almeria might have their fate sealed, as they await a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The verdict could come with a three-point penalty for the late payment to Aalborg for the transfer of Michael Jakobsen in back in 2012.

Villarreal has the sixth position earned, but seventh place will earn a Europa League berth this season, as long as Barcelona wins the Copa del Rey. Athletic Bilbao will face Villarreal, who is two points ahead of Malaga and chasing that seventh spot.

Let's get to it, and see what action we can find in the last round of the La Liga campaign. We will give each club’s scenario within their fixtures.

Saturday, May 23- All 10 matches

    Featured Match Valencia vs Almeria

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Valencia -145

    Almeria +365

    Draw +320

    Spread:

    Valencia -0.5 -145

    Almeria +0.5 +125

    Total 3:

    Over -125

    Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Valencia will be competing in one of the two European club competitions next campaign, but which one it will be is the question at hand.

Valencia is a point above Sevilla and holding the final Champions League qualification position, although Sevilla will have an opportunity of their own to secure a Champions League bid, if they can beat Dnipro in the Europa League final on May 27.

Almeria is in a position now that they not only need three points from their final home game, but they also need either Granada or Deportivo to not earn any points from their matches.

We saw last weekend that the Real Madrid match with Valencia took a lot out of them, and they found themselves down early, and needed a 71st minute goal from defender Nicolas Otamendi to salvage the draw.

Almeria's defense is likely going to be why they will not manage to stay in top flight, so the Over 3 at -125 is the recommendation for this match. Valencia should be able to score all three of those goals, and Almeria should surely be able to find the net once to cash our tickets.

    Dep La Coruna vs Barcelona

    3-Way: 1: Deportivo +925 Away ; X: +525 Draw ; 2: Barcelona -360 Home

    Spread: Deportivo +1.5 +105 ; Barcelona -1.5 -125

    Total 3.5: Over -125 ; Under +105

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Deportivo has the lovely task of needing a win at Camp Nou to secure safety, although a result of any nature could still be useful. Even with a draw, it could still be enough, although having it come down to goal differential could be tricky as well.

Barcelona has outscored their opponents 62 - 9 at home this campaign, and we know they are chasing the triple, with the Copa Del Rey final and Champions League final in front of them.

Even if Barca put a secondary squad on the pitch, which they will likely do, they are still worlds above anything Deportivo can throw at them. So we are simply going to suggest a small play on the Barcelona -1.5 at a marginal -125. They should still manage a two-goal difference at home.

    Villarreal vs Athletic Bilbao

    3-Way: 1: Villarreal +325 Away ; X: +285 Draw ; 2: Bilbao -120 Home

    Spread: Villarreal +0.5 +100 ; Bilbao -0.5 -120

    Total 2.5: Over -130 ; Under +110

    Analysis and Prediction:

As we mentioned in the opening, Bilbao can still find their way to Europa League if they clinch the seven spot and Barcelona wins the Spanish Cup final. Ironically, Bilbao plays Barcelona in the Cup final, so this could get rather interesting.

Villarreal has absolutely nothing to play for, and they will be in the Europa League qualification rounds next campaign.

The line setters are completely tipping their hand in this one, because we all know that Villarreal would not be +325 if they had something to play for.

The Bilbao -120 on the 3-Way is the play, so hopefully they can keep their momentum going just one more weekend.

    Sevilla vs Malaga

    3-Way: 1: Sevilla +100 Away ; X: +285 Draw ; 2: Malaga +250 Home

    Spread: Sevilla -0.5 +100 ; Malaga +0.5 -120

    Total 3: Over -135 ; Under +115

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

We didn't think it would be tough to fade Malaga last weekend, and the +110 on Villa paid us nicely enough.

Malaga is nowhere near the same club they were when they made their European run recently, and they have managed to disappoint their fans more often than not when they need a result lately.

This Sevilla 3-Way line at even money is easily making our board this weekend, even if Sevilla has a bigger fish to fry in the Europa League final against Dnipro.

    Atletico Madrid vs Granada

    3-Way: 1: Atl Madrid +135 Away ; X: +180 Draw ; 2: Granada +300 Home

Spread: Atl Madrid Pk -185 ; Granada Pk +165

    Total 2: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

What a way to finish the campaign, and Atletico has got to be absolutely thrilled to see Granada as the last match of the campaign. Granada could not stop a handful of Segunda clubs from scoring twice on them, and Madrid wants to leave no doubt that the third spot is theirs.

Move the total to a straight 2.5, as we see a lovely +140 on that action. We would be completely shocked if Atletico does not score three goals of their own against this defense.

    Real Sociedad vs Rayo Vallecano

    3-Way: 1: Sociedad +295 Away ; X: +290 Draw ; 2: Vallecano -115 Home

    Spread: Sociedad +0.5 -105 ; Vallecano -0.5 -115

    Total 3: Over -125 ; Under +105

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Because Vallecano has given up 20 more goals than they have scored, there is no reason to try to chase the seventh position in the table, because they cannot take it. Even with 52 points with a nice home win, the eighth spot will be as good as it gets.

Sociedad are in a similar position, and has nothing to gain or lose, while finishing the campaign in the 12th position. Rayo is easily the better club, so why not throw in the -115 on the 3-Way line, expecting them to send off their fans with a nice win headed to next year.

    Espanyol vs Celta De Vigo

    3-Way: 1: Espanyol +390 Away ; X: +310 Draw ; 2: Vigo -145 Home

    Spread: Espanyol +0.5 +125 ; Vigo -0.5 -145

    Total 2.5: Over -145 ; Under +125

    Analysis and Prediction:

If there were two matches remaining in the campaign, this could have been something worth discussing, although Espanyol can attempt to catch Bilbao on 52 points, since they are both -3 in goal differential.

We have no idea why the line setters are offering a -145 on Vigo at home, since Espanyol is undoubtedly the better club.Let's hope for a draw type of game here, and chase the +0.5 handicap on Espanyol at +125.

    Getafe vs Real Madrid

    3-Way: 1: Getafe +1850 Away ; X: +800 Draw ; 2: Madrid -730 Home

    Spread: Getafe +2.5 +105 ; Madrid -2.5 -125

    Total 4: Over -125 ; Under +105

    Analysis and Prediction:

If Barcelona just beat this Getafe club 6 - 0 just two weeks ago, then we can expect Madrid to do the same.

If the line setters are going to ask for a -125 on either the -2.5 on Madrid, orthe Over 4, then we will offer Madrid's handicap line of -2.5.

Nothing more to say about this one.

    Cordoba vs Eibar

    3-Way: 1: Cordoba +950 Away ; X: +415 Draw ; 2: Eibar -305 Home

    Spread: Cordoba +1.5 -125 ; Eibar -1.5 +105

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

Bet on La Liga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

We know Cordoba will be appearing in Segunda next campaign, and we expected Eibar to be in this exact position too. Feel free to roll through our weekly previews, while time and again speaking of how Eibar is likely headed to a relegation battle, and here they are. Can you imagine that Eibar is -300 to win this match on the 3-Way line?

Can you also imagine us going anywhere near that?

Cordoba may be the worst club in the league, but Eibar is certainly not two goals better than them, so the +1.5 at -125 with Cordoba is making our suggestion box this weekend.

    Elche vs Levante

    3-Way: 1: Elche +290 Away ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Levante +100 Home

    Spread: Elche +0.5 -120 ; Levante -0.5 +100

    Total 2.5: Over -105 ; Under -115

    Analysis and Prediction:

    Elche 62. Levante 67.

So now two of the worst defenses in the league take the same pitch, and the line setters offer a -105 on the Over 2.5? Is that supposed to be some kind of dare to end our season previews with a play on the Over 2.5 with Elche and Levante? Dare accepted, and that is the last play of the season in La Liga action.

We would like to thank all of the BetDSI members and visitors for reading our yearlong previews, and we will see you again next year.
