Soccer Betting: Round 28 in Bundesliga brings us to the home stretch of the campaign, with only seven matches remaining this year. Only 11 points separate the 6th from 15th position in the German table, with 21 points available to each club as we wind down the campaign.

The weekend kicks off at HDI-Arena with Hannover hosting Berlinon Friday and every position is open to change. Hannover is only three points clear of the final relegation zone, and desperately needs a result to not find themselves sent down. Our featured match of the weekend is among the six matches on the Saturday schedule, when Bayern hosts Frankfurt at Allianz Arena.

Bet on The Bundesliga at BetDSI

It makes our featured match because it is the only one with two clubs in the top eight of the table. The round comes to a closeon Sunday, with two matches on the docket: Hoffenheim faces Koln and Werder Bremen faces last place Stuttgart.

We have nine matches to discuss, and just about every match holds importance for each club for different reasons. So, let's get to the pitch, and see what we can expect to happen.

    Friday, April 10- 1 Match

    Hertha Berlin vs Hannover

    3-Way: 1: Berlin +290 Away ; X: +235 Draw ; 2: Hannover +105 Home

    Spread: Berlin +0.5 -125 ; Hannover -0.5 +105

    Total 2.5: Over +125 ; Under -145

    Analysis and Prediction:

Berlin has quietly been one of the better clubs in the second half of the campaign, and the exact opposite can be said about Hannover.Berlin did a fine job of securing three more points last weekend against Paderborn at Olympiastadion with a 2 - 0 win, in which they held Paderborn to only 2 shots on goal. Hannover is winless since we came off the winter break, spanning 10 matches in league play.

Berlin can certainly come in here and get some type of result, so to see the +0.5 at a marginal -125 on the away side, surely makes enough sense to us to recommend as a play, until Hannover even shows us one ounce of earned respect.

    Saturday, March 11 - 6 Matches

Featured Match Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich

    3-Way 1x2 Lines:

    Frankfurt +1250

    Bayern -550

    Draw +720

    Frankfurt +2 -105

    Bayern -2 -115

    Total 3.5:

    Over -105

    Under -115

Bet on The Bundesliga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

The only reason we had to use this as the featured match of the weekend is because it is the only one taking place between two clubs in the top eight of the table. It may not be the best match of the weekend, but that is usually our prerequisite for the highlighted match of each weekend.

Bayern did a great job last weekend, coming out of Dortmund with a 1 - 0 result and a lot of Bundesliga experts coming out and saying Dortmund could have taken advantage of them being without Robben, among others.

Now it looks like they could be even more shorthanded than they were last weekend. They also had a mid-week fixture in the DFB Pokal with Leverkusen, which took extra time and penalty kicks to decide, with Bayern moving on in the end.

Frankfurt does indeed only sit four points out of the Europa League qualifying position currently held by Augsburg, so there is certainly a need to get results down the stretch of the campaign.

With the injuries for Bayern, and the need for Frankfurt, we will suggest the +2 on the away side here. We are not expecting them to get blown out of the water with so much depending on each match from here on out.

    Dortmund vs Moenchengladbach

    3-Way: 1: Dortmund +135 Away ; X: +245 Draw ; 2: Gladbach +200 Home

Spread: Dortmund Pk -135 ; Gladbach Pk +115

    Total 2.5: Over -120 ; Under +100

    Analysis and Prediction:

Gladbach we know is now out of the German Cup after losing to Arminia Bielefeld in a penalty shootout earlyWednesday, and now has to regroup to take on Dortmund at home. Dortmund moved on in the German Cupon Tuesday, with a 3 - 2 ET win over Hoffenheim.

Hopefully, this is as an opportunity to see some goal scoring. Gladbach is trying to stave off the clubs behind them vying for that last Champions League spot in the table, and Dortmund knows that they cannot give away any more points if they hope to catch Augsburg for any type of European club competition in 2015-16.

Let's go with the hunch on goal scoring, and see if we can't catch them both finding the net, since we do see the Both to Score prop sitting at -150 at most European sites that offer such a prop. The Over 2.5 at -120 goes on the board.

    Freiburg vs Schalke

    3-Way: 1: Freiburg +470 Away ; X: +300 Draw ; 2: Schalke -160 Home

    Spread: Freiburg +1 -135 ; Schalke -1 +115

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

Bet on The Bundesliga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

These two clubs have played to a 2 - 0 result the last three times they have met. Freiburg won the first meeting at home in early November and Schalke swept the season series last year. Freiburg has been sound defensively lately and managed three clean sheets in their last four outings.

Neither club has exactly looked like their offense is worth investing in lately. Schalke played a scoreless match against Augsburg last weekend, although we did see 39 attempts towards net. Obviously they were not converted, and we did only see 6 combined shots on goal officially. That leads us right to the total, and to see a measly -105 on the Under here will gladly help us to make that recommendation to our readers this weekend.

    Bayer Leverkusen vs Mainz

    3-Way: 1: Leverkusen +110 Away ; X: +250 Draw ; 2: Mainz +255 Home

    Spread: Leverkusen -0.5 -110 ; Mainz +0.5 -130

    Total 2.5: Over -115 ; Under -105

    Analysis and Prediction:

Leverkusen has been outstanding in league play as of late, with 15 goals scored vs only 2 allowed in the last 6 outings, which also came with 16 points from 5 wins and a draw. They now sit only two points back of Gladbach for the third Champions League Group Stage entry, although they will most likely still manage some type of European club competition when the campaign is over, barring a complete collapse.

Mainz is probably not comfortable with their position, sitting a mere six points clear of the final relegation spot. It is certainly desperation time for a team that we have seen inconsistent results from the entire year.

If this game were at BayArena, Leverkusen would most likely be untouchable from a betting perspective, because the line would be rather high. If the line setters want to give Mainz some respect for being home, let them do that because we don't care!

Leverkusen at +110 to get three points is lovely, even with the mid-week Cup match with Bayern that took extra time to finish, hoping they can recover from the penalty kick defeat in time to handle their business in league play.

    Augsburg vs Paderborn

    3-Way: 1: Augsburg +135 Away ; X: +225 Draw ; 2: Paderborn +225 Home

Spread: Augsburg Pk -150 ; Paderborn Pk +130

    Total 2.5: Over +100 ; Under -120

    Analysis and Prediction:

Augsburg is certainly struggling with finding the net lately, but all that should come to an end this weekend, when they head to Benteler Arena to take on Paderborn. Augsburg suddenly has 5 or 6 clubs breathing down their necks chasing that last Europa League position in the table, with only one win to show for their last eight outings in league play.

Paderborn has been held to a clean sheet in each of their last four home outings, which has certainly contributed to why they sit with only 24 points, in the relegation zone as we enter round 28.

To see even money on this total to go Over should hopefully give us a decent chance to cash a ticket here, with a 2 - 1 match likely and Augsburg likely to come out on top, but that will remain to be seen. As long as either club finds the net, we like our chances of cashing this total.

    Wolfsburg vs Hamburger

    3-Way: 1: Wolfsburg -125 Away ; X: +270 Draw ; 2: Hamburg +360 Home

    Spread: Wolfsburg -0.5 -125 ; Hamburg +0.5 +105

    Total 2.5: Over -130 ; Under +110

Bet on The Bundesliga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Pre:diction

Once again, this is one of those situations that if this match were being played at Volkswagen Arena, Wolfsburg would be obnoxiously favored. But we find ourselves at Imtech Arena and the line setters think that will affect the outcome of the match enough to only list the Wolf at -125 to find three points.

With so much pending for Wolfsburg, knowing they are in a nice position to hold on to the second spot in the table, any letdown at this point could see that taken away from them. Yes, Hamburg is just as desperate for results, but the talent level is not even close as we see it.

The Wolf at -125 with the 3-Way line makes our board here as a suggestion for your action.

    Sunday, April 12- 2 Matches

    Hoffenheim vs Koln

    3-Way: 1: Hoffenheim +210 Away ; X: +230 Draw ; 2: Koln +140 Home

Spread: Hoffenheim Pk +115 ; Koln Pk -135

    Total 2.5: Over +105 ; Under -125

    Analysis and Prediction:

It is hard to forget the first time these two met in the front half of the campaign, with a six-goal first half and Koln coming out of Rhein-Neckar Arena with a 4 - 3 win after they found a late goal in the second half to get all three points.

Hoffenheim is still chasing a spot for Europe, finding themselves only two points behind Augsburg and three points behind Schalke for the two Europa League positions in the table. Let's see if these two can't put on a similar show to what we saw back in November, and chase a play on the Over 2.5 at even money.

    Werder Bremen vs Stuttgart

    3-Way: 1: Bremen +245 Away ; X: +260 Draw ; 2: Stuttgart +110 Home

    Spread: Bremen +0.5 -130 ; Stuttgart -0.5 +110

    Total 2.5: Over -130 ; Under +110

Bet on The Bundesliga at BetDSI

    Analysis and Prediction:

Ok, well we know the run that Werder Bremen went on is over, and they have now reverted to the club they once were early in the campaign. Is it bad enough, however, to see Stuttgart favored like this?

The line setters think this might be the magic weekend that Stuttgart finds three points, although they did find a win last time they were home over Frankfurt. We see this as a stone cold Under play, and a 1 - 1 likely score line in the last match of the round, so the Under 2.5 at a decent +110 makes our board at Mercedes-Benz Arena.
