Cricket Betting - Sri Lanka vs Pakistan

A one- day International on Friday figures to be very competitive as Sri Lanka battles Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match is pretty much a pick in cricket betting with Pakistan a slight -120 favorite at BetDSI sportsbook.

    One-Day Series

This will be the first of five matches that are one-day series beginning on Friday. Both teams are highly ranked with Sri Lanka ranked #2 in the world while Pakistan is #6. Sri Lanka finished second to India in the most recent World Cup while Pakistan made the semifinals before losing. Pakistan recently won a three-Test series 1-0 against Sri Lanka but this one-day series figures to be more difficult. “Sri Lanka are a very good one-day side, so we know we face good competition but we are focused and I believe it’s a 50-50 game because if they reached the final of the World Cup, we were semi-finalists,” said Pakistan captain Misbah Haq. Pakistan could get a boost for this series with the return of Afridi.

On the other side, Sri Lanka is hoping that the return of Lasith Malinga will help them on Friday. “Lasith gives us good bowling support at the top and that is why we have a decent one-day team and had a good one-day series against Australia at home two months ago,” said Sri Lankan captain Tillakaratne Dilshan.

It is tough to pick a favorite in this competition in cricket betting odds with the teams very evenly matched. Haq even went so far as to say this match is just about a pick. "I think it is a 50-50 game.” Haq said, “We too had reached the semifinal of the World Cup and we too have played very well in the World Cup.”

    Match Schedule

Sri Lanka and Pakistan are going to get to know each other really well over the next couple of weeks. They meet in Dubai on Friday and again on Monday before another match in Dubai next Friday. They then will play in Sharjah on November 20th and in Abu Dhabi on November 23rd. The teams will then play a Twenty20 in Abu Dhabi on November 25th.
