Olympics Ice Hockey Finland vs Canada

2014 Winter Olympic Odds: Finland takes on Canada in one of the two games in Group B action for Sunday. Canada isn’t expected to get tested until at least the quarterfinal round but this game against Finland could be their toughest in Group B. At least Finland has some really good goaltenders who could keep them in this game. The other game on Sunday in Group B should have Austria listed as the favorite in Olympic hockey odds against Norway.

Here is a look at both of the games in Group B for Sunday and Olympic hockey predictions.

    Finland vs. Canada

There is no question that Canada will be favored to win this game but at least Finland has the goaltending to keep this interesting. Tuukka Rask is capable of winning games by himself and if Canada is not on the top of their game this one could be interesting. The question is whether or not Finland can score a couple of goals to stay in this game. They don’t have much offensive firepower except for the aging Teemu Selanne.

Canada has a ton of talent led by Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews and John Tavares. They also have a lot of great defensemen but what they don’t have is a great goaltender. Roberto Luongo and Carey Price are good but they are not great.

    Austria vs. Norway

The Austria team does have some scoring potential with Thomas Vanek and Michael Grabner but they don’t have much in goal or on defense. They may not need too much on Sunday as Norway has Mats Zuccarello and nothing else.

    2014 Winter Olympics Hockey Picks

I think Finland can keep this close but I would like to get 2.5 goals. I still might take them at +1.5 goals. I also think this game goes under the total. In the other game I will lay the goals and take Austria.
