The Daytona 500 is just a couple of weeks away so now is the time to get ready for 2012 NASCAR betting. There have been some changes in NASCAR, mainly to the teams, but there has also been a change to the cars. Let’s look at some things we need to know heading into the 2012 NASCAR season.
The stranglehold on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship by Hendrick Motorsports ended last year when Tony Stewart won the title, ending Jimmie Johnson’s five year run. Johnson is one of the four drivers for Hendrick who should have a great year in 2012 and he is favored in NASCAR betting at the offshore sportsbook to win the title.
There is not much of an offseason when it comes to NASCAR betting as the Daytona 500 is just over a month away. Now is the time to bet NASCAR futures at BetDSI sportsbook as odds are on the board for the 2012 Sprint Cup Championship.

A thrilling finish to the 2011 season in NASCAR odds at Diamond sportsbook had Tony Stewart beating Carl Edwards to win the Sprint Cup Championship. Stewart won the race at Homestead-Miami in the season finale while Edwards finished second.
The last race of the NASCAR season on Sunday will determine the Sprint Cup Championship with Carl Edwards holding a three-point lead over Tony Stewart. They are the two favorites in NASCAR Ford 400 betting at BetDSI Sportsbook for Sunday’s race that can be seen on ESPN.
The Chase for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup has just one race left with Carl Edwards leading Tony Stewart by just three points. Many people are calling this the best Chase ever. Edwards and Stewart will be among the favorites in NASCAR betting for this week’s season finale at Homestead.
Carl Edwards holds just a three point lead over Tony Stewart in the chase for the Sprint Cup Championship with just two races left. This week they go to Phoenix for the Kobalt Tools 500 on Sunday. Stewart is a slight favorite in Kobalt Tools 500 betting at Diamond sportsbook.
With just three races remaining in the Chase, Carl Edwards has the points lead over Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. This week the drivers head to Texas for the AAA Texas 500. Edwards is 6-1 in NASCAR odds to win Sunday’s race that can be seen on ESPN.
It is getting to be crunch time in the Chase with just four races remaining. This week the attention turns to Martinsville for the Tums Fast Relief 500 on Sunday. Jimmie Johnson is a slight favorite in NASCAR betting at 5-1 but five other drivers have single-digit betting odds.
At the halfway point of the chase, three drivers are separated by only seven points. Carl Edwards has the lead with Kevin Harvick 5 points behind and Matt Kenseth just 7 points back. This week’s race at Talladega promises to be exciting and NASCAR Good Club 500 odds are on the board right now at BetDSI sportsbook in the NASCAR lines section.
Can you say six-time Sprint Cup champion? After winning last week at Kansas, Jimmie Johnson has moved within four points of Carl Edwards for the Chase lead and now heads to win of his favorite tracks in Charlotte. Bank of America odds at Diamond sportsbook favor Johnson with Kyle Busch as the second choice.
After three races in the Chase it is as close as ever with nine drivers separated by just 19 points. Anything is possible this year in NASCAR so every race should be exciting including Sunday’s in Kansas. Here is a look at Hollywood Casino 400 odds and picks for the race that can be seen on ESPN.
Jimmie Johnson is the favorite in NASCAR odds at Diamond sportsbook to win at Dover International Speedway on Sunday in the third race in the Sprint Cup playoffs. Johnson has won the fall race at Dover the past two years and he really needs to make it three in a row if he wants to make up some ground in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Jimmie Johnson is a 5-1 favorite in Sylvania 300 betting odds at BetDSI sportsbook for Sunday’s race at New Hampshire. The second race in the Chase figures to be very competitive as six drivers are listed with single-digit betting odds for this race that can be seen on ESPN.
The Chase is finally here with 12 drivers looking to win the Sprint Cup Championship. The first of the ten races in the Chase is at Chicagoland on Sunday on ESPN with Jimmie Johnson a slight favorite in Geico 400 betting. Saturday night should be exciting in Richmond as the field for the Sprint Cup Chase is finalized. Nine drivers have already clinched a spot while the other three spots will be decided on Saturday. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the most popular driver in NASCAR and that doesn’t figure to change anytime soon. He signed a five-year extension with Hendrick Motorsports which means he will be driving his No. 88 at least through the 2017 NASCAR betting season.
With just two races before the Chase begins there is not much time for drivers outside of the Top 10 to make up ground. Sunday’s Advocare 500 in Atlanta is a big race for Tony Stewart as he is right on the bubble of making the Chase. Stewart is the defending champ but he is not the favorite in NASCAR Advocare 500 betting at BetDSI.
Kyle Busch will look to lengthen his points lead on Saturday night in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol. Busch is the favorite in NASCAR odds at our sportsbook and it is easy to see why. He leads the NASCAR points standing and has won four of the last five races at Bristol.
Predicting race winners in NASCAR betting this season has been difficult with 14 different drivers taking the checkered flag. Will that total rise to 15 this week at Michigan? Let’s take a look at Michigan 400 betting and the main contenders.
NASCAR heads to the Glen this week for road course racing on Sunday afternoon. That means drivers like Marcos Ambrose, Tony Stewart and Juan Montoya will be among the favorites in NASCAR betting predictions. Let’s take a look at the matchups on the board at Diamond sportsbook.
Marcos Ambrose is the favorite in NASCAR betting to win Sunday’s Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen. Since it is a road course race the three favorites are Ambrose, Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya. Stewart has owned Watkins Glen with five career wins and Ambrose has the best average finish. Montoya won last year’s race but it has not been a good year for him this season. Not to be left out is Jeff Gordon who has four career wins at the track and a total of nine wins on road courses.
The second race of the NASCAR season at Pocono is on Sunday with Denny Hamlin the slight favorite. Picking a race winner is one option to consider at the BetDSI sportsbook but another option is the matchups and it is those we want to consider for our NASCAR betting picks.
