    Wonderful Pistachios 400 Betting

Saturday night should be exciting in Richmond as the field for the Sprint Cup Chase is finalized. Nine drivers have already clinched a spot while the other three spots will be decided on Saturday. Let’s look at the Chase scenarios and the NASCAR odds for the Wonderful Pistachios 400 that can be seen on ABC television.

The nine drivers who are in the Chase are Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman and Brad Keselowski. Both Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart are in good position to get two of the remaining three spots as Earnhardt Jr. just needs to finish 20th or better to clinch a spot while Stewart just needs to finish 18th or better. Denny Hamlin is in the best position of the other remaining drivers who have a shot but he is no guarantee. The only way he is in for sure is with a win but that scenario also applies for Paul Menard and it could also apply to Marcos Ambrose and David Ragan.

Kyle Busch is the 3-1 favorite in Wonderful Pistachios odds at BetDSI sportsbook. Busch has won three of the last five races at Richmond and has been in the top five in the other two. Busch is followed closely in NASCAR odds by Denny Hamlin who is listed at 5-1. Also with single-digit odds are Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson who are each 8-1. Tony Stewart is 11-1 while Carl Edwards is 12-1. Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick are each 15-1 while Kurt Busch is 18-1. All of the other drivers have odds of 20-1 or more.

Last year it was Denny Hamlin getting the win in this race with Kyle Busch the runner-up. Hamlin has won this race the past two years but he just doesn’t seem to be the same driver this season. The winner of Sunday’s race in NASCAR betting will probably be starting in the Top 5 on the grid since 63 of the 110 races have been won from a top five starting spot. Even though starting up front is important, the pole sitter has won just three times since 1992.
