NASCAR Betting - Hendrick Cars Looking to Dominate in 2012

The stranglehold on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship by Hendrick Motorsports ended last year when Tony Stewart won the title, ending Jimmie Johnson’s five year run. Johnson is one of the four drivers for Hendrick who should have a great year in 2012 and he is favored in NASCAR betting at the offshore sportsbook to win the title.

    Hendrick Drivers

It is a talented quartet at Hendrick led by five-time champion Jimmie Johnson. He is joined by four-time champion Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne. Hendrick has dominated NASCAR for many years but in 2011 they didn’t win the title and for the first time since 2000 the organization won fewer than five races and none of the four finished in the top five in points. Don’t look for that to happen again in 2012. "I usually hedge a little bit," owner Rick Hendrick said. "This year I'm not. I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't have all four cars in the Chase. And I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't win the championship."

There was more turn over than ever in the off-season in NASCAR but for the most part, Hendrick stayed intact and actually improved. Replacing Mark Martin will be Kasey Kahne who gives Hendrick a driver who is talented and hungry to win a title. All four of the crew chiefs at Hendrick are back and it could be the strongest group of drivers any team has ever had in NASCAR.

    NASCAR Betting Odds

Jimmie Johnson is the favorite to win the Sprint Cup Championship this season and with betting odds of 4-1 there is some value in taking J.J. He is motivated to win after losing the title last season. Johnson is a great driver and Chad Knaus is the best crew chief in the sport. "We're all culturally trained to go out there and be successful," Knaus said. “We just all know we need to do better. We're supposed to win races." Jeff Gordon is listed with 9-1 odds; Kasey Kahne is listed at 10-1 while Dale Earnhardt Jr. is 20-1 in NASCAR odds.
