    NASCAR Betting - Geico 400

The Chase is finally here with 12 drivers looking to win the Sprint Cup Championship. The first of the ten races in the Chase is at Chicagoland on Sunday on ESPN with Jimmie Johnson a slight favorite in Geico 400 betting. Johnson is the 5-1 favorite at BetDSI sportsbook with Kyle Busch the second choice at 6-1.

    Race Facts

There have been a total of ten Sprint Cup races at Chicagoland Speedway. Last year the winner was David Reutimann as he beat Carl Edwards. There has been a different winner in each of the last six years at Chicago. The only multiple winners at Chicago are Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. Starting up front is not a necessity in this race as only once has the winner started from a top five starting position. Five of the last six races have been close with the average margin of victory under a second.

    Chase Drivers

Jimmie Johnson is the five-time Spring Cup champion but he has just one win this year. Johnson has never won at Chicagoland but he does have seven top ten finishes. Johnson is the 5-1 favorite in NASCAR odds. Kyle Busch is the second choice in the betting at 6-1. He has one win and two top five finishes at Chicago.

Kevin Harvick has betting odds of 12-1. He has two wins at Chicago and has been very consistent with five top five finishes at the track. Matt Kenseth is 13-1 on the odds board. He has never won at Chicago but does have two top five finishes.

Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards are both listed at 8-1. Gordon has one win and six top five finishes at Chicago. Edwards has just two top ten finishes at Chicago but he was the runner-up in last year’s race.

This has been a great track for Tony Stewart who has two wins and seven top five finishes. He has some definite value at 14-1 and is a solid pick. Also at 14-1 is Brad Keselowski who has been very poor at Chicago with an average finish of 25th in two previous races. Kurt Busch is also listed at 14-1. Even though he has not won at Chicago he does have five top ten finishes at the track.

Denny Hamlin has odds of 15-1. Chicago has not been a good track for Hamlin as he has just one top five finish at the track.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. does have a win and two top five finishes at Chicago so he could be a factor and his odds of 30-1 are attractive. Ryan Newman

He has been solid at Chicago with a win and two top five finishes and could be worth a shot at Geico 400 betting odds of 35-1.
