Odds to Win 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship
Jimmie Johnson 4-1
The five-time run for Johnson ended in 2011 as he simply wasn’t dominant any longer. It may not happen in 2012 either.
Carl Edwards 6-1
If anyone is due to win the title this year then it is Edwards. He did everything but win it all last year.
Kyle Busch 8-1
It was a disappointing 2011 for Kyle Busch. He has the talent to win but he still is too immature and at 8-1 doesn’t offer much value.
Kevin Harvick 8-1
One of NASCAR’s most consistent drivers is Kevin Harvick. All he does year after year is contend for a title.
Tony Stewart 8-1
What a year it was in 2011 for Tony Stewart as he just barely made the Chase and then won the tiebreaker to take the title from Carl Edwards. It is not out of the question that he could win it all again in 2012.
Denny Hamlin 9-1
It was obvious last season that something was wrong with the Hamlin team. It seems unlikely they get it fixed quickly.
Jeff Gordon 9-1
He was close last year but the clock is now ticking on Gordon. Maybe he has one more run left in him but at 9-1 in NASCAR betting there is not much value.
Kasey Kahne 10-1
It should be an interesting season for Kahne as he moves to Hendrick Motorsports. All of the Hendrick drivers are threats to win it all and there is no denying Kahne has the talent.
Matt Kenseth 12-1
You can never count out Kenseth as a threat to win the title as he almost always makes the Chase.
Clint Bowyer 12-1
He just doesn’t have the look of a driver who can win the championship.
Brad Keselowski 12-1
The future is bright for Keselowski and he could contend for the title in 2012.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. 20-1
He is the most popular driver in NASCAR but he simply doesn’t win races and until he at least wins a race it is hard to put money on him winning it all.
Greg Biffle 25-1
There is no reason to think Biffle is going to contend this season. Make sure and check out the BetDSI Blog to keep current on all the latest sports betting news.
Kurt Busch 28-1
One of the sports most overrated and disliked drivers is Kurt Busch and his chances of winning a title are slim with a new team in 2012.
Ryan Newman 40-1
If Newman could do as well winning races as he does winning poles he would be a threat.
Jeff Burton 40-1
Time has past by one of the sport’s most likeable drivers.
Juan Montoya 40-1
He has done next to nothing since coming to NASCAR except disappoint his fans.
Field (Any other driver) 20-1 – It would be a shock to see anyone other than one of the top drivers win it all.
