Bank of America Odds - Jimmie Johnson Making his Move

    NASCAR Betting - Jimmie Johnson

Can you say six-time Sprint Cup champion? After winning last week at Kansas, Jimmie Johnson has moved within four points of Carl Edwards for the Chase lead and now heads to win of his favorite tracks in Charlotte. Bank of America odds at Diamond sportsbook favor Johnson with Kyle Busch as the second choice.

This weekend’s NASCAR race will be televised on ABC on Saturday night. It could be another showcase race for Johnson who has six wins at Charlotte, tied for most all-time. Last year it was Jamie McMurray winning the fall race but Johnson won the race in 2004, 2005 and in 2009. Starting near the front is important as about 60% of the race winners have started from the top five.

    Jimmie Johnson

One of the best tracks for Johnson is Charlotte Motor Speedway. He has been dominant at the track throughout his career. He was so good two years ago in the fall race that he won from the pole which had not been done in the fall race since 1982.

    Kyle Busch

He has done just about everything at Charlotte except win in NASCAR betting. He has five top five finishes and eight top 10 finishes.

    Carl Edwards

He leads Kevin Harvick by just one point for the Chase lead with Johnson four points back. He has never won at Charlotte but he does have four top five finishes and seven top 10 finishes.

    Jeff Gordon

There is no denying Gordon’s success at Charlotte as he has five wins and 16 top five finishes.

    Kevin Harvick

He has one win and two top five finishes at Charlotte. It seems to be all or nothing for Harvick at the track as he either is right there in contention for the win or well out of it.

    Brad Keselowski

A lot of people are ignoring Keselowski in Bank of America odds but he is very much in the race for the Championship. He doesn’t have a lot of history as the track having raced there only four times but in one of those races he did win the pole.

    Kurt Busch

He does have a win at Charlotte but his average finish is nothing special at 19.7 in 22 races.

    Matt Kenseth

He is normally in contention in Charlotte but he rarely wins. In 24 races he has just one win but he does have 12 top 10 finishes.
