Sebastian Vettel Favored in F1 Odds

Sebastian Vettel is favored in F1 odds at BetDSI sportsbook to win the 2013 F1 driver championship and Red Bull is favored to win the Constructors Championship. Let’s look at all of the odds.

Odds to Win Formula 1 Driver Championship at BetDSI

    Sebastian Vettel +130

    Fernando Alonso +250

    Jenson Button +500

    Kimi Raikkonen +1100

    Lewis Hamilton +1400

    Sergio Perez +1600

    Mark Webber +2000

    Felipe Massa +5000

    Nico Rosberg +6000

    Field +2000

Vettel is favored in F1 odds which makes sense since he is the three time defending champion. His main competition is expected to come from Alsono who nearly won the title last year. Button might be in the running as well as he is listed at 5-1. It seems unlikely that Raikkonen has enough talent to win and it is hard to see Hamilton winning in his first year with Mercedes. If McLaren has things figured out then an interesting longshot could be Sergio Perez at 16-1. It is hard to see any of the other drivers listed having a real shot and no one in the group of drivers in the field is worth considering.

Odds to Win the Constructors Championship at BetDSI

    Red Bull -150

    McLaren +300

    Ferrari +400

    Lotus +1100

    Mercedes +2500

    Field +3000

There is no question that Red Bull has the edge since they have three time defending champion Sebastian Vettel. I am not so sure that McLaren should be the second choice in the odds as Ferrari could have a better chance with Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. McLaren does have Jenson Button but they have to replace Hamilton with Sergio Perez. Lotus could be in the mix if Kimi Raikkonen continues to improve. Mercedes has Hamilton but the indications are they are already focusing on the 2014 season as the year in which they make a serious run at the championship.

The 2013 F1 season begins on Sunday, March 17th with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia and concludes on November 24th in Brazil.
