Last year in the Italian Grand Prix it was Fernando Alonso taking the checkered flag as he won from the pole. The pole sitter has won seven of the last ten years and a total of 18 times in the race’s history. That should mean Vettel has a great chance to win on Sunday considering he has won the pole in 9 of the 12 races this season. He is five behind the all-time record of poles in a season that was set by Nigel Mansell in 1992. Red Bull has won all 12 poles this season and they have won 13 straight poles going back to last year.
It is hard to pick anyone other than Vettel to win in Italian Grand Prix betting. He has seven wins this year and is always in contention. Vettel leads teammate Mark Webber by 92 points in the driver’s standings. Vettel has been so good this season that he has never finished outside of the top four in any race this season. Vettel and teammate Mark Webber are already the fourth most successful teammates in F1 history with ten 1-2 finishes. Jenson Button has been the runner-up in the last two races at Monza and second place could be in store for him again on Sunday. It should at least be an exciting race in terms of speed as Monza is the fastest track on the F1 circuit.
