Since Vettel has clinched and Red Bull has won the constructors’ title, the only thing left to be decided is who finishes second in the standings behind Vettel. Jenson Button is 10 points ahead of Fernando Alonso with Webber 13 points back and Lewis Hamilton 26 points behind. Red Bull boss Christian Horner has already gone on record as saying that he wants to get Webber a win and have his two drivers finish first and second in the standings. Vettel has said he would love to see Webber finish second and that if the scenario comes up he will help his teammate. And yes, that might just include letting him win a race. "We've seen this year in particular, races are long and a lot of things can happen in the beginning but also the end, overtaking is definitely possible," said Vettel. "So the race order may not be clear, five or 10 laps to the end. For sure it depends where you are. So we worry first of all to make sure we're in a strong position and then I think the scenario situation comes last.”
Red Bull has dominated this season with Vettel winning 10 of the 16 races and winning the pole a total of 12 times. Vettel is just behind Nigel Mansell for most poles won in a season (14). He is three wins away from tying Michael Schumacher’s record of 13 wins in a season set in 2004.
