What is at Stake?
Both of the big titles were decided weeks ago with Vettel winning the driver’s championship while Red Bull clinched the constructor’s title. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some excitement for Sunday’s race. Second place in the driver’s standings is on the line with Button leading Alonso by 10 points. Webber is really on the outside with very little chance as he trails Button by 22 points.
Sebastian Vettel has a chance to break the single-season record for most poles won as he is currently tied with Nigel Mansell at 14. Mansell set the record for 14 poles in 1992 and Vettel tied that mark in Abu Dhabi. Vettel can break that mark this week.
Sebastian Vettel -105
It is never a bad idea to go with Vettel to win a race but he is no longer in the running for most wins in a season so his motivation won’t be as high. Anytime you can get the best driver at even money it is worth a shot.
Lewis Hamilton +300
He broke through last time out to end Vettel’s win streak and he is the second choice in this week’s F1 betting odds.
Jenson Button +500
He may be the best value on the board but he may be playing it safe as he wants to finish second in the driver’s standings.
Fernando Alonso +700
He has to go all out to catch Button in the standings which means it is win or nothing.
Mark Webber +800
It is hard to take Webber considering he hasn’t won all year.
The Field (Any Other Driver) +2500
You really can’t make a case for taking anyone outside the top four in this week’s race.
