There are two races left in the F1 season and while the championship and the constructor’s championship have been decided there is still a battle going on for second place. Sunday’s race has Sebastian Vettel heavily favored in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix betting odds at Diamond Sportsbook.

While Vettel has clinched the driver’s championship, second place is up for grabs between Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber. The edge goes to Button who is 13 points ahead of Alonso and 19 ahead of Webber. Lewis Hamilton is somewhat in the picture as he is 38 points back of Button. With two races left, Button has 240 points, Alonso 227, Webber 221 and Hamilton 202.

The Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi is one of five on the F1 schedule that runs counter-clockwise. The course is highlighted by the Yas Viceroy Hotel where drivers race right beneath the lobby. Last year in this race it was Vettel clinching the championship over Alonso. Although a title is not at stake this year, second place is still important and McLaren’s Martin Whitmarsh said his team is very focused for Sunday’s race. “Even though we've secured second place in the Constructors' Championship, and Jenson has a very healthy margin in second place in the Drivers' Championship, the season isn't over for us by any means.” Whitmarsh said, “We're continuing to bring new developments to our car and we'll be fighting every bit as hard as we did at the first race in Australia back in March."

It is hard to make a case for anyone other than Vettel to win in F1 betting this weekend although Webber could have some value as he looks for his first win of the year. With a win this week, Vettel would have a chance to tie Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of 13 wins in a season in two weeks in Brazil in the last race of the season.
