UFC Betting - Guillard vs Miller

The feature bout on Friday night in UFC on FX is the one between Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller. Guillard vs. Miller betting odds at Diamond Sportsbook have Miller as a -185 favorite. Let’s take a look at this big fight and the schedule for the rest of the card for UFC on FX 1.

    Melvin Guillard +155

    Jim Miller -185

The UFC on FX betting odds have Miller as almost a 2-1 favorite. The number could be a little high considering Guillard has the advantage in striking. The question will be whether or not he gets a chance to use that advantage as Miller has the big edge on the mat. Guillard has been awful avoiding takedowns so that is a huge concern for this fight on Friday night. If Guillard can somehow stay on his fight he has a good chance to win but if the fight goes to the mat it is probably over as Guillard has shown no ability in his career to avoid getting caught in submission holds. You might be able to take a shot here if the betting odds come out at plus money with Guillard winning by knockout and also come out at even or plus money with Miller winning by submission. Miller has 20 wins in his career, 11 by submission.

    Main Card (FX)

    Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller

    Duane Ludwig vs. Nosh Neer

    Mike Easton vs. Jared Papazian

    Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft

The main card also features Duane Ludwig going up against Josh Neer in what could be the fight of the night. Both fighters love to stand and trade shots so this one should be fun to watch.

    Preliminary Card (Fuel TV)

    Jorge Rivera vs. Eric Schafer

    Kamal Shalorus vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

    Charlie Brenneman vs. Daniel Roberts

    Daniel Pineda vs. Pat Schilling

    Joseph Sandoval vs. Nick Denis

    Fabricio Camoes vs. Tommy Hayden

One note on the preliminary card is that Tommy Hayden is expected to take the spot of Reza Madadi who pulled out due to injury.
