    UFC on Fuel TV Picks

A total of ten fights are set for Wednesday night in Omaha, Nebraska as UFC on Fuel TV-1 takes place. Five fights are on the main card which will be shown on Fuel TV and five more are on the preliminary card to be streamed live on Facebook. Let’s look at the five preliminary fights and make our UFC on Fuel TV picks.

    Tim Means vs. Bernardo Magalhaes

This is an interesting contrast as Magalhaes works his opponents and goes the distance with nine of his eleven career wins coming by decision while Means has gone the distance just once in his 16 wins. This is short notice for Magalhaes as he is filling in for Yoislandy Izquierdo but we think he can get the win.

    Anton Kuivanen vs. Justin Salas

This is the UFC debut for both of these fighters. Kuivanen comes into this fight having won 12 of his last 13 fights. He has the edge in the standup game while Salas has the edge on the mat. We’ll look for Kuivanen to avoid numerous takedowns and get the decision.

    Buddy Roberts vs. Sean Loeffler

This should be exciting for as long as it lasts as both will look for the knockout. This might be a fight to just look at the UFC betting props and see if we can get plus money on the knockout for both fighters.

    Jonathan Brookins vs. Vagner Rocha

This should be a wrestling war as each fighter is talented on the mat. Rocha has the advantage in striking but this fight should be won on the ground which is why we like Brookins to get the win.

    Ivan Menjivar vs. John Albert

This is an interesting bantamweight matchup between Menjivar who is a UFC veteran and Albert who is trying to make a name for himself. Albert wants to keep this fight off the mat because he believes he has the striking edge. Most people are going to be all over Menjivar in this fight and while Menjivar should win, this is a dangerous fight and the price at the sportsbook is too high for us.

The main card on Wednesday features Diego Sanchez against Jake Ellenberger. The other four fights are T.J. Dillashaw vs. Walel Watson, Stipe Miocic vs. Philip De Fries, Aaron Simpson vs. Ronny Markes and Stefan Struve vs. Dave Herman.
