Jones Heavily Favored
The UFC odds are already out on this matchup for UFC 145 with Jones favored at -600. There are not many people who really believe that Evans can beat Jones. Evans and Jones are former sparring partners but about a year ago they had a falling out and now they really don’t like one another. About a year ago it was Evans who was going to face Mauricio Rua for the title but he suffered a knee injury and had to pull out. Jones got the fight instead and won the title. Jones and Evans had agreed they would never fight each other but Jones changed his mind and that did not sit well with Evans. "One thing about Jon is he is fake, he is not real," Evans said, "We had a pact and he violated that pact. When you violate a pact, there's no way I can ever work with you again.” Evans and Jones were supposed to fight last year at UFC 133 but Jones had to pull out due to injury. Finally the two will get into the Octagon and settle things in April.
Jones Not Impressed
Jon Jones has already gone on record as saying that Evans is too old to beat him. "Judging by the performance (against Davis), I don't know if I can consider him a wolf," Jones said of Evans. "I think that's going to be the biggest difference in the fight, my youth, my ambition, my drive, my creativity. Rashad's been fighting for, I don't know, maybe eight years."
