UFC on FX 1 (Preliminary Card – Fuel TV)
Jorge Rivera vs. Eric Schafer
This fight is the one that is considered the headliner of the six fights on the preliminary card. Rivera is 19-9 in his career while Schafer is 12-6-2. Neither fighter has done much of late as Rivera has lost his last two while Schafer has lost three in a row. Rivera should get the win but Schafer is dangerous as he is probably fighting to stay in the UFC.
Kamal Shalorus vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
This will be the UFC debut for Nurmagomedov who is 16-0 in his career. It should be an easy win for him as he faces Shalorus who is 7-1-2 in his career including a loss to Jim Miller last time out.
Charlie Brenneman vs. Daniel Roberts
This should be a very competitive battle that goes to the ground between Brenneman who is 14-3 against Roberts who is 12-3. This one looks too close to call in UFC on FX 1 picks.
Fabricio Camoes vs. Tommy Hayden
In his last 11 fights, Camoes is 9-1-1 but he has a tough fight here against Hayden who is 8-0 with only one of his bouts making it out of the second round. Hayden will look to get this to the mat quickly and end the fight the fight by submission. Camoes has more experience but that doesn’t guarantee he will get the win here, especially if the fight goes to the ground.
Daniel Pineda vs. Pat Schilling
This is a matchup between the rising star Pat Schilling who is 5-0 in his career against the veteran Daniel Pineda who is 15-7 in his career. This fight may not go long as none of Pineda’s 15 wins have gone to a decision while the average time of Schilling’s fights have been about two minutes.
Joseph Sandoval vs. Nick Denis
This is another fight that is unlikely to go to a decision as Denis has nine knockouts in his ten wins. Sandoval is 6-1 in his career with the only loss coming against Walel Watson. Denis has the power to end this one quickly and he should get the knockout.
