If you bet the favorites in MMA odds at the sportsbook in UFC on Fuel TV-1 you did very well as virtually every favored fighter won. Jake Ellenberger won a very exciting main event as he defeated Diego Sanchez. Let’s take a look at all of the UFC on Fuel TV-1 results.

    Main Card Results

Jake Ellenberger defeated Diego Sanchez by unanimous decision

For a fight that was scored a unanimous decision it sure was exciting to watch. Both fighters traded shots for three rounds but it was Ellenberger who did the most damage. Ellenberger really hurt Sanchez in the first and second rounds but Sanchez simply wouldn’t quit. In the third round Sanchez came out strong but Ellenberger again landed the best strikes. Sanchez still wouldn’t give up and near the end of round three he got behind Ellenberger and nearly won the fight but time ran out. “Diego’s the toughest guy I’ve ever fought, and he’s a true warrior,” Ellenberger said. “He’s in it every minute of the fight. … It was an honor to fight him.”

Stefan Struve defeated Dave Herman by TKO in at 3:52 of round 2

This was the hard hitting fight that was expected as Herman tried to land big punches in round one but a big right uppercut by Struve sent Herman to the mat in round 2 and it was over.

Ivan Menjivar defeated John Albert by submission in round 1

This was entertaining for as long as it lasted as both fighters had their chances. Menjivar landed the bigger punches though and eventually got Albert in a rear-naked choke hold that ended it at 3:45 of the first round.

T.J. Dillashaw defeated Walel Watson by unanimous decision

This was a completely one sided fight as Dillashaw dominated Watson. It was so much of a domination that two of the judges had it 30-25.

Stipe Miocic defeated Phillip De Fries by knockout in round 1

This one ended quickly as after De Fries landed a couple of shots, it was Miocic who countered with a big right hand that dropped De Fries. It was over in moments as Miocic improved his record of 8-0.

Ronny Markes defeated Aaron Simpson by split decision

The MMA odds on this fight were nearly a pick and this fight was very close. Simpson dropped Markes in the first round but Markes survived and won the last two rounds to get the win.

    Preliminary Card Results

Tim Means defeated Bernardo Magalhaes by unanimous decision

Means dominated Magalahaes in a fight that was not competitive.

Justin Salas defeated Anton Kuivanen by unanimous decision

This was a win for Salas but it was a pretty boring fight.

Jonathan Brookins defeated Vagner Rocha by knockout in round 1

This was a slugfest to start with and then Rocha tried for a takedown that was stuffed and then it was Brookins pummeling Rocha to get the win.

Note: The fight between Buddy Roberts and Sean Loeffler was scratched as Loeffler suffered an ankle injury while warming up.
