Rashad Evans wins by unanimous decision over Phil Davis
The main event in UFC on Fox 2 was a complete and total domination by Evans against Davis. All three judges scored the fight 50-45 for Evans. With the win, Evans will get a title shot against Jon Jones in late April in Atlanta.
Chael Sonnen wins by unanimous decision over Michael Bisping
This fight was much closer than expected but the judges gave Sonnen the decision. The first two rounds could have gone either way while the third round went to Sonnen.
Chris Weidman wins by unanimous decision over Demian Maia
As we said in our preview, the oddsmakers at the sportsbook knew what they were doing making Weidman the favorite. He won this fight even though he was a late replacement. The fight didn’t have a great deal of action and it stayed off the mat which was a huge advantage for Weidman.
Preliminary Card
Chris Camozzi wins by submission at 1:08 of round 3 vs. Dustin Jacoby
This was all Camozzi has he controlled the first two rounds before getting a submission in the third.
Lavar Johnson wins by KO in round 1 vs. Joey Beltran
This was one of the two upsets in MMA odds with Johnson getting the first round knockout of Beltran.
Michael Johnson wins by unanimous decision vs. Shane Roller
This was the other upset on Saturday as Johnson upset Roller. It was all Johnson until the third round when Roller nearly got the win but the referee warned Roller for illegal head blows and Johnson recovered and won.
Charles Oliveira wins by submission in round 1 vs. Eric Wisely
This one was over almost before it started as Wisely had no chance and was submitted in the first round.
Cub Swanson wins by TKO in round 2 vs. George Roop
A big right hand by Swanson ended this one in the second round.
Mike Russow wins by unanimous decision vs. John-Olav Einemo
This was a pretty boring fight that Russow ended up winning. It was mostly spent on the mat and only in the third round did Einemo have any chance as he connected with a combination but Russow survived and no damage was done.
Evan Dunham wins by TKO vs. Nik Lentz at the end of round 2
The first round was close but then in the second round it was Dunham pounding away at Lentz and the fight was stopped before it went to the third round.
