Bellator 59 odds are available at BetDSI sportsbook for Saturday night’s action that can be seen live on MTV2. There are three feature bouts on the card with the Bantamweight Tournament Final, the Heavyweight Tournament Final and a feature fight between Patricky Freire and Kurt Pellegrino.
Bantamweight Tournament Final
Unbeaten Alexis Vila is heavily favored in MMA odds in the Bantamweight Tournament Final as he takes on Eduardo Dantas. Vila beat Joe Warren in Bellator 51 and then he defeated Marcos Galvao at Bellator 55. Dantas beat Wilson Reis at Bellator 51 and then beat Ed West at Bellator 55.
Heavyweight Tournament Final
The big battle on Saturday night should be the one between heavyweights Thiago Santos and Eric Prindle. Santos wasn’t even supposed to get this far as he replaced Mike Hayes in Bellator 53 but he has continued to win. He beat Neil Grove in Bellator 56 to reach the final. Prindle beat Josh Burns in Bellator 40 and then got wins over Abe Wagner and Ron Sparks to reach the final. Santos is almost a 3-1 favorite in MMA betting odds.
Freire vs. Pellegrino
Bellator 59 odds at the sportsbook basically have this fight as a pick. Pellegrino is a former UFC lightweight who has some name recognition but he lost in UFC 116 and UFC 128 and his desire was gone. Pellegrino retired from the sport but it didn’t take him long to find a way back. It helps that New Jersey is where Pellegrino grew up and still lives so Bellator has a lot of appeal for him. "I have an opportunity to fight for Bellator in my backyard where I started this whole game," Pellegrino said. "I started fighting in Atlantic City. I won two championship belts in Atlantic City." Freire made it to the final of the Lightweight Bellator tournament but lost to Michael Chandler.
The fight between Michael Cost and Lyman Good was called off as Costa had to pull out to due to injury. It appears that a lightweight battle between Marcin Held and Phillipe Nover will now be moved to the main televised card. Held has a record of 11-2 while Nover is 5-3-1.
