Keep in mind that with these fights being in England that they will start earlier in terms of Eastern Time. You will want to either make your bets before Saturday afternoon. Let’s take a look at the Cage Warriors 44 betting odds and the likely winners.
Joseph Duffy -425 vs. Ivan Musardo
This bout will be for the vacant CWFC lightweight title. It will be a battle to see who gets the submission first. 7 of Duffy’s 10 wins have come by submission while 15 of Musardo’s 17 wins have come by submission. Duffy has never lost in his career and it seems unlikely his first defeat will come in this fight.
Brian Foster -800 vs. Jack Mason
This is the biggest price on the board and the name recognition is definitely with Foster. He is a former UFC welterweight so he should have the edge although Mason is very highly regarded in England. Foster has not fought in more than a year due to injury and was let go by the UFC. He could easily get back into the UFC if he gets a good win on Saturday against Mason. “I’m fighting who I have to in order to get back into the UFC.” Foster said, “That’s all I care about. I belong fighting against the best guys in the world. Not fighting at all doesn’t sit well with me. But now I’m getting a second chance so I want to do it right and make the most of it.”
Foster will look to make quick work of Mason because the only chance Mason has is to get the fight to the ground. Mason is a submission specialist who has won 16 of his last 20 fights. “If he keeps his hands up and his chin down he might make it past the first round.” Foster said, “Otherwise it’ll be a very early night for him.” Foster should win but the price is really high in MMA betting odds.
Graham Turner -165 vs. Ashleigh Grimshaw
Turner is 17-6 in his career while Grimshaw is 10-7-1.
Steve O’Keeffee -205 vs. Dean Reilly
O’Keeffee comes into this fight at 4-1 while Reilly is 5-2.
Kevin Donnelly -140 vs. Brad Wheeler
Flip a coin here between two fighters who barely have more wins than losses on their records as Donnelly is 6-3 while Wheeler is 6-5.
