Vancouver Canucks at Detroit Red Wings NHL Lines

    The Western Conference Finals may well be having a preview feature on The NHL Network on Thursday as the Detroit Red Wings host the Vancouver Canucks in a matchup of division leaders. The Red Wings are favored in NHL lines at the offshore sportsbook.

    Away They Go!

    Vancouver is one of the top road teams in the NHL and was around a 70 percent success rate away from home. The Canucks are one of the better balanced teams in the NHL as they ranked 3rd for goal scoring and 7th for goals against. Once again the twin Sedin brothers Henrik and Daniel were the top two scorers respectively while Corey Schneider was proving to be a capable number two goalie to Robert Luongo.

    Winging It at Home!

    Hockey Town will be alive with excitement on Thursday as the Canucks will be out to put their best effort forward in a matchup that could be seen again for even bigger stakes come the month of May. Detroit was at the top of the NHL stats for home winning percentage as they were over 90 percent. The Red Wings have also shown outstanding balance as they raked 4th for goal scoring and 6th for goals against. Jimmy Howard was having a career year in goal and that has made the difference in Detroit staying ahead of St. Louis in the Central.

    Trends

    The Red Wings have won six of the last ten against Vancouver with three of the last five going under the total. Detroit won 2-0 at home back in October while last season it was Vancouver winning 2-1. It could be another low scoring hard fought game on Thursday night between these two Western Conference powers.

    The Pick

    Detroit has been superb at home this season and should come out with a big win against a team that will be gunning for them. The Red Wings will be more than ready and will be at a far better price in NHL lines at the offshore sportsbook than is normally the case for them at home.
