    Chicago Blackhawks betting early in the season was very successful as the Blackhawks had the league’s best record last month. What a difference a month makes as Chicago has been awful, having their longest losing streak in five years. The Blackhawks face a tough road test at New York on Thursday night.

    This is the 8th game of the long road trip for Chicago and it has been a disaster of a trip. The Blackhawks had lost the first six games of the trip heading into Tuesday’s game at Nashville. Things have been so bad for Chicago that even head coach Joel Quenneville’s job was rumored to be in jeopardy. General manager Stan Bowman gave Quenneville the dreaded vote of confidence on Monday. “I’m very confident in Joel’s ability [and] our coaching staff’s ability,” Bowman said, “Our players — the effort is there. They’re as frustrated as anybody, you can watch it on the ice.” The players said that they are the problem and not their head coach. “The problem is probably the players,” Patrick Kane said.

    Rangers 18-8 at Home

    The Blackhawks are 4-5-1 in the last ten games against New York. The teams have split their last eight meetings in New York but the Rangers have won the past three. Two of the past three in New York have gone under the total.
