The San Jose Sharks will try and keep the Chicago Blackhawks down as the teams meet on Friday night. The Blackhawks have hit the skids of late losing six straight games and they are underdogs in NHL betting odds at Diamond Sportsbook for Friday’s game against the Sharks.
Live Betting
This late night matchup will feature live betting at our sportsbook. The Sharks will be favored but Chicago is a popular team and should get some action from bettors. To stay up to date with all of the games available for live betting be sure and read the BetDSI Blog.
Chicago 10-15 on the Road
The Blackhawks have totally gone into the tank of late and most of their losses have come on the road. Chicago has lost six straight and five of those losses were on the road. The Blackhawks are on a brutal road trip that is a ridiculously long 9 games. They have dropped the first four games of the trip and it doesn’t get any easier at San Jose on Friday. They then have Phoenix on Saturday before going to Nashville, New York against the Rangers and Columbus.
Blackhawks Looking for Help
Chicago has been rumored to be looking for help, particularly in goal. General manager Stan Bowman isn’t finding many teams that like what Chicago is offering. The Blackhawks would like to get a goalie as there are definite questions about starter Corey Crawford and backup Ray Emery. Bowman has really done a poor job as he made a number of poor offseason deals and now Chicago is stuck. Bowman still believes in his team but not many other people around the league do.
Game Trends & Parlay
Chicago has won six of the last ten against San Jose with six of those games going over the total. The Blackhawks have actually split their last ten games in San Jose with the last two going under the NHL betting odds. It is hard to see Friday’s game going under though as Chicago can still score but they can’t keep the puck out of their net. We’ll take a shot with a parlay on Friday night and go with the Sharks and the over with our NHL picks.
