1. Miami of Ohio – The ReedHawks were 23-10-6 last season and won the CCHA Tournament. The RedHawks have a great scorer in Reilly Smith who is the leading returning scorer in the country and two quality goalies in Cody Reichard and Connor Knapp.
2. Notre Dame – Another Frozen Four appearance could be in the cards for Notre Dame who returns most of their talent from last year’s team. The Fighting Irish will be led by T.J. Tynan and Anders Lee and both are Hobey Baker Award candidates.
3. North Dakota – The Fighting Sioux lose six of their top seven scorers but this program is so good that they just reload.
4. Yale – Not many teams are more consistent than Yale who has three straight 20 win seasons. They will have to find a replacement for goaltender Ryan Rondeau who graduated.
5. Denver – The Pioneers suffered a big loss when goaltender Sam Brittain suffered a knee injury that will cause him to miss the season. Denver is still very good but goaltending is now a question.
6. Union – This team should be similar to Denver with a lot of scoring but questions in goal.
7. Boston University – The Terriers should be improved this season as almost everyone returns including forward Alex Chiasson.
8. Colorado College – When Jaden Schwartz is healthy this team is a title contender. The Tigers also have a very good goaltender in Joe Howe.
9. Minnesota Duluth – The Bulldogs won it all for college hockey betting gamblers at BetDSI sportsbook last year but this year’s team probably is not good enough to repeat. The team lost too many players to graduation. The Bulldogs will still be good, but not great.
10. Michigan – The Wolverines nearly won the title last season in college hockey betting but they suffered a lot of players to graduation. The tradition is strong at Michigan and the Wolverines should improve as the season goes on.
