PGA Odds - Nick Watney Favored in Fall Series Opener

    Golf Betting - Nick Watney

The Fall Series of the PGA Tour begins this week with the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open. Nick Watney is the 10-1 favorite in PGA odds at BetDSI Sportsbook with Martin Laird and Ryan Moore the second choices at 14-1.

This will be the earliest that the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open has ever started on the Fall Series. The tournament almost always produces low scores as the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada is a very easy course. In fact, the TPC Summerlin has been the easiest par 71 on the PGA Tour the last two years. Last year it was Jonathan Byrd winning in a three-man playoff. Here is a look at the players who could take home the title this year.

    Nick Watney 10-1

Watney has a hometown edge as he lives in Las Vegas but in six starts in this event his best finish is a tie for sixth.

    Martin Laird 14-1

He is a great choice considering he won this event two years ago and nearly won it last year before losing in a playoff to Jonathan Byrd.

    Ryan Moore 14-1

It is hard not to like the hometown boy from UNLV this week. He has played very well on Tour this year and tied for 7th in this event in 2009.

    Kyle Stanley 25-1

He is getting some action on the PGA odds board at the sportsbook. He doesn’t have a big name but he is 14th in all-around in 27th on Tour in greens in regulation.

    Chez Reavie 28-1

He fell apart at the Tour Championship in the final round but he still has three top ten finishes in his last five starts.

    Chad Campbell 30-1

This UNLV alum loves this course. He was third in 2008 in this event and two years ago he tied for second. He is fifth on Tour in greens in regulation.

    Longshot

How about Scott Piercy as a longshot to win at 50-1 in golf betting? He shared the lead after the third round of this event two years ago. He finished tied for 28th last year but Nevada has been good to him as last month he won his first PGA Tour event in Reno.
