    Golf Betting - Bill Haas

Bill Haas beat Hunter Mahan in a playoff on Sunday to win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup. Haas was not the favorite in golf odds but he came through in the clutch to win $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup and another 1.44 million for the Tour Championship title.

The Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup title were on the line in the playoff between Bill Haas and Hunter Mahan. It took three playoff holes to decide the outcome with Haas eventually winning. It was the first time in history that the FedEx Cup had been decided in a playoff. Haas started the week at #25 in the standings but with the win was able to move all the way up to first.

Miraculous Save from Haas in the Playoff

If you didn’t see the shot that Bill Haas hit on the second playoff hole then you missed something really special. On the first playoff hole it was Haas and Mahan both making clutch par putts but the drama went up notch on the second playoff hole. The second playoff hole was the 17th and the second shot of Haas rolled into the water hazard. His ball was sitting right in the mud but in the water. Haas played it from the water and hit a brilliant shot that landed just a couple of feet past the hole. He saved par and they went to the 18th for the third playoff hole.

On the third playoff hole it was Mahan hitting it into the bunker and he could not make a par save. Haas was able to make a 4-foot par putt and win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup.
