    Golf Betting - McGladrey Classic

With the strong field assembled for this week’s McGladrey Classic on the PGA Tour you might not even think this is a Fall Series event. Many of the top players on tour are entered this week including Webb Simpson and Matt Kuchar. They are the two favorites in golf betting at BetDSI Sportsbook.

    Webb Simpson 14-1

He is going for the money title and is just about $69,000 behind leader Luke Donald. Don’t think it is not important as the season money winner gets a five-year PGA Tour exemption. Simpson is the leader in all-around on Tour and has ten top 10 finishes this year. He may be a bargain at 14-1.

    Matt Kuchar 16-1

He is sixth on the money list but he just hasn’t won. He is always on the leaderboard but it is hard to take him because he hasn’t closed the deal.

    Jim Furyk 20-1

These betting odds are based more on his name value than his actual play as Furyk really hasn’t been in contention very often this year.

    Rickie Fowler 20-1

You might have missed it last week but Fowler won by six strokes in a tournament in South Korea. He should be very confident this week after getting his first pro win.

    Charles Howell 20-1

Last year he finished sixth in this event and closed with a 62 in the final round. He was first in distance in this tournament last year.

    Other Contenders

There are a number of other players who could win this week including David Toms who tied for third in this event last year and Zach Johnson who are each listed at 22-1 in golf betting. Brandt Snedeker and Paul Casey are 25-1 while Spencer Levin and Graeme McDowell are 28-1. Last week’s winner Bryce Molder is 30-1 along with Bo Van Pelt.

    Longshot Pick

How about Kyle Stanley at 40-1 in golf odds at the sportsbook? It seems that every week we get a different winner on the PGA Tour. This rookie has four Top 10 finishes in eight starts. He is 24th on Tour in greens in regulation.
