Farmers Insurance Open Predictions

Golf Betting - Farmers Insurance Open

The PGA Tour gets second billing this week as many of the world’s top players are in Abu Dhabi but it is still a good field for the Farmers Insurance Open. Phil Mickelson is the favorite but there could be better choices to win this week. Let’s look at our Farmers Insurance Open predictions.

There are some top names in the field this week for the Farmers Insurance Open and unlike some other events on the PGA Tour you can pretty much guarantee a big name is going to win this week. Experience is a must at Torrey Pines as a first-time player has not won since 1957.

Phil Mickelson is favored this week but our question is why? He didn’t play well last week and can he really turn things around in just a week? He has a lot of experience at Torrey Pines and you can’t ever count him out but we’ll look elsewhere.

    Nick Watney 14-1

He won this tournament three years ago and he tied for sixth last year. At betting odds of 14-1 he is our top choice in Farmers Insurance Open predictions this week.

    Brandt Snedeker 20-1

He is getting some action and is now the fourth choice in the golf betting odds at the sportsbook. He was eight at the Humana Challenge last week and he has had success in this tournament with three top 10 finishes in his last five starts.

    Ben Crane 25-1

He shared the lead after two rounds last week at the Humana Challenge before finishing in a tie for eighth. He won the Farmers two years ago and always seems to be in contention.

Longshot Pick – Bubba Watson 28-1

It is somewhat surprising to see Watson listed with these types of odds considering he is the defending champion. He led the field last year in distance and in greens hit. We’ll take a flyer at 28-1.

We also want to mention that Charles Howell III is getting some action on the board as his odds have dropped to 20-1 making him one of the favorites. Make sure to check out the BetDSI Blog today for more sports betting news and information.
