Is this the week that Tiger Woods finally gets a win? Woods is favored in Chevron World Challenge Golf odds at Diamond Sportsbook. Even though he has not won in more than two years, Woods is still extremely overvalued by the public. Here is a look at the Chevron World Challenge that begins on Thursday.
The 13th edition of the Chevron World Challenge has a field of 18 players. It is a very good field that should have been a lot better. It is supposed to have all four Major winners and the top 11 players in the World Rankings in the field but that is not the case this year because of scheduling problems. World #1 Luke Donald and #2 Rory McIlroy are not in the field and Keegan Bradley is the only player of this year’s four Major winners that is in the tournament. The Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa has drawn Donald, Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell, Darren Clarke and Charl Schwartzel while the Hong Kong Open has drawn McIlroy, Justin Rose and Ian Poulter.
The defending champion is Graeme McDowell as he came from behind last year to beat Tiger in this tournament. Tiger will not have an easy road to victory as even without the previous mentioned players in the field there are still some great players to watch in including Matt Kuchar, Jason Day, Webb Simpson and Nick Watney.
Tiger is the favorite and extremely overvalued in golf betting but he could win this week. He has played six of his last seven rounds in 68 or under. He is the host of this tournament and even though it is a strong field, it is not what it could have been.
