Avantha Masters golf betting odds at Diamond Sportsbook list Joost Luiten as a slight favorite. A competitive field is assembled for this event that begins on Thursday at the DLF Golf and Country Club in New Delhi, India. Note that because of the time difference it will be Wednesday night in the U.S. when this tourney begins.
Even though Luiten is favored it could be that some other players are better bets this week. Asian Tour members have won this event the past two years and some local pros like Jeev Milkha Singh and defending champion S.S.P. Chowrasia should be in contention. Also in the mix should be Sujjan Singh who tied for fifth in this event last year. "I've got lots of good memories from last year. They've been coming back the closer the event gets and also my family and friends have been reminding me about it," said Singh. "It helps to know the course well. DLF is more suited to my game. I can use my driver more there and I feel I can hit it pretty long. That gives me an advantage."
There are some good golfers from India that have some attractive Avantha Masters golf betting odds including Jeev Milkha Singh who is listed at 28-1. A few American players have made the trip including John Daly, Todd Hamilton and Peter Uhlhein. Some Asian Tour regulars that are worth a look include Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg.
The Avantha Masters is the richest tournament in India with a prize pool of about $2.4 million dollars. Last season it was Chowrasia who closed with two straight 67’s to win while Robert Coles bogeyed the last hole to blow his chance at a win.
