Week 3 Against the Grain NFL Picks

Week 3 Against the Grain NFL picks feature eight games this week including the Monday Night Football game between Green Bay and Seattle. Here is a look at all eight matchups.
Just as a reminder that when I go against the grain it means I go against the popular plays that the public likes. For the season we are right at about .500. We split the first week and last week was either a split or a game over the break even mark depending upon what line you got with Cleveland.
Week 3 Against the Grain NFL Picks
Chicago Bears -7.5
It is very unusual when the public is on an underdog but they love the Rams this week and hate the Bears. I am not a Jay Cutler fan but Chicago is at home and I will go against the public and lay the points.
Tennessee Titans +3.5
The public hates the Titans already after two weeks. This is a decent spot for them though as they are at home and getting points against an overrated Lions team. We take the points here with Tennessee in a game they can win.
Miami Dolphins +2.5
I said last week that we might be stuck taking Miami every week as the public hates the Dolphins. It worked for us last week though as Miami beat Oakland. We get Miami again this week against the Jets.
The public also hates the Jaguars and so do I but in against the grain picks we don’t get to pick and choose. We go against the public and in this case that means taking the Jaguars plus the points against the Colts.
The public loves the Falcons this season so we get an almost unheard of situation where we get to take a 2-0 team. I am not totally sold on the Chargers but they are at home and Ryan Mathews returns. We lay the points with San Diego.
Denver Broncos +1.5
I hate the Broncos but the public loves the Texans in this game so we are stuck taking Denver in NFL picks.
Oakland Raiders +3.5
The public is all over the Steelers in this game, even on the road. The Raider might be able to keep this close against a Pittsburgh team that is overrated.
Seahawks + 3
The public normally likes Green Bay every week and that is the case on Monday night. I don’t like going against Aaron Rodgers but we have to go against the public and that means taking Seattle.
