Kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday is set for 6:29 pm Eastern but before the game kicks off there will be hours and hours of pregame coverage. Most of it you can ignore as nothing new will be revealed. The pregame show drags on seemingly forever so you can probably avoid almost all of it and not miss a thing. Just before the game starts you will want to watch the new Faith Hill opening for NBC.
When the game begins we get two of the best announcers on television in Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth and Michelle Tafoya is a solid sideline reporter. This year’s Super Bowl is expected to be the most watched television program in U.S. history. If the game is close heading into the fourth quarter, and it could be, the numbers will be staggering.
Commercials
The Super Bowl is watched by millions of people around the world, many of whom are not even football fans. Some of these people watch the Super Bowl because of the commercials. Here are the ones for this year’s game that you don’t want to miss.
Matthew Broderick is going to reprise his role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in a commercial for Honda. It should be interesting. The new Volkswagen commercial featuring a dog and then going to the Star Wars theme featuring Darth Vader is excellent. It can already be seen on the Internet and is worth watching. Women will probably like the new David Beckham commercial advertising H&M’s David Beckham Bodywear. The guys will probably like the new GoDaddy.com commercials featuring Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels. Not to be forgotten are the car and beer commercials including a lot of Hyundai commercials, a spot for Audi and Acura’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial featuring Jay Leno.
