New York Giants Super Bowl Betting

Super Bowl XLVI odds may not favor the Giants as they are three-point underdogs but there are a lot of people in New York Giants Super Bowl betting who believe the team can win. Here is a look at some of the things to consider if you are betting the Giants and a great Super Bowl prop on New York.

It was just a couple of months ago that the Giants were nine point underdogs at New England but they came away with a win. For those that don’t think head coaches know the pointspread, take a look at what New York head coach Tom Coughlin told his team. "You're 9-point underdogs," he said, "and there's no way you can win." The Giants may have a harder time playing the role of the team getting no respect this time around as they are just 3-point underdogs against the Patriots in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

    Super Rematch

Even though the Giants were 12 point underdogs four years ago, many bettors believed they could beat the Patriots. Sportsbooks took a bath on that game as bettors pounded the Giants on the money line and hit it big. That is not the case this time around as New York is just a slight underdog on the money line. Sportsbooks would prefer the Patriots win the Super Bowl as they have taken more money in New York Giants Super Bowl betting but regardless of the outcome, it is going to be a good game for the books.

A Great New York Giants Prop

If you want to bet on some Super Bowl props here is a tidbit you will find very useful. The Giants are going to get the ball first in the Super Bowl. How do I know that? If the Giants win the coin toss they are going to receive as they will want the ball first. There is no way they will want to give the ball first to Tom Brady and the New England offense. If the Patriots win the toss they are going to defer. How do I know that? The last 28 times the Patriots have won the coin toss they have deferred. It goes all the way back to 2008 in a game in which they won the toss and took the ball. That was the game in which Tom Brady got hurt and missed the rest of the season. If you can find a prop on which team will receive, then take the Giants and you may also want to bet on New York scoring first since we pretty much know they are going to get the ball first.
