    Super Bowl Props Betting

Betting Super Bowl props gets more popular every year as bettors want to be in action throughout the game. There are a lot of great props on the board at the sportsbook for Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. Here is a look at our best Super Bowl props picks.

    Team to Kickoff First

We wrote a few days ago about one of the best Super Bowl props relating to the opening kickoff but we’ll mention it again here. When the Patriots win the coin toss they have deferred the last 28 times. With the Giants likely to take the ball if they win the coin toss, the prop on who will kickoff first looks like a winner. New England is -290 to kickoff first but based on recent history that number should be a lot higher.

    Total Sacks

The number on total combined sacks for both teams in the Super Bowl is 4.5 and the over is +110. This seems like a very low number considering both teams are going to be throwing the ball on a regular basis. The Patriots averaged 2.5 sacks per game this season and they have been much better in the last couple of months. The Giants are well known for their great defensive line and they had two sacks against Brady in their meeting earlier this season. At plus money, we’ll go over 4.5 for total sacks in the game.

    Overtime

This prop is available every year for the Super Bowl and it never happens but the Giants and Patriots are very evenly matched. Maybe this is the year so we’ll take a small shot at +675 on the game going into overtime.

    Longest TD in the Game

The over/under on this in terms of yards is 49.5. The tendency for most people will be to play the over but the stats say to play the under. The Patriots don’t throw the ball deep that often and even though the Giants have some big play receivers the Patriots secondary is far better now with Patrick Chung back healthy than it was earlier in the year. We’ll go under this number.

Which will be the Highest Scoring Quarter?

The fourth quarter is +220 and we are taking that quarter to have the most scoring. Keep in mind that in their last meeting, the Giants and Patriots combined for 31 points in the fourth quarter.
