Stanford 11-1 SU, 10-2 ATS
You can make a good case for taking Stanford on Monday night in Fiesta Bowl betting. The Cardinal were one of the top teams in the country to wager on this season as they covered 10 of their 12 games. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Andrew Luck, an excellent running game and a solid defense. Stanford was 7th in the country in total points per game this season and 23rd in fewest points against.
Oklahoma State 11-1 SU, 9-3 ATS
The Cowboys were also very good this season against the spread as they covered nine of their twelve games. Oklahoma State’s offense was virtually unstoppable as they were 2nd in the country in points per game at 49.3. They are led by quarterback Brandon Weeden and Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon. The only concern for Oklahoma State is that they come into Monday’s game a little down since they are not playing in the BCS Championship. "I don't think anybody that was in our position could say that they didn't have some disappointment to not have an opportunity to play for it all," said Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy.
Luck and Weeden
Weeden was third in the country this season with 4,328 yards while Luck had 3,170 but Weeden threw it a lot more and the two were virtually even in TD passes this season as Luck had 35 while Weeden had 34. The advantage for Weeden is that he gets to throw to Blackmon who is considered the top receiver in the country.
