The Badgers are in the Rose Bowl for the second straight season and hoping for a better result than last year when they lost to TCU. "We played the Rose Bowl a year ago, but the 2011 season is its own journey within itself," said head coach Bret Bielema. The Badgers were fourth in the country, averaging 44.6 points per game. Running back Montee Ball scored 38 touchdowns this season as the Badgers ran over teams. Wisconsin is not entirely one-dimensional though as quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 2,879 yards and 31 TDs.

The Ducks don’t get to play in the BCS title game for a second straight year but the Rose Bowl is not a bad consolation. The Ducks are explosive on offense led by running back LaMichael James who led the country with an average of 149.6 yards per game. Oregon also has quarterback Darron Thomas who threw for 2,493 yards and 30 touchdowns this season. "Their offense is very unique in what they do and the speed in what they play in, so it will be a challenge," Bielema said.
