The three early favorites in college football betting at the online sportsbook to win the BCS title next season are LSU, USC and Alabama. LSU lost to Alabama this past season in the title game but they are likely to start the 2012 season as the favorite. USC should be a close second with Alabama right there as well.

Let’s take a look at the top ten teams heading into the 2012 college football season.

    1. LSU – The Tigers were perfect last season until the title game when their lack of offense finally caught up to them. LSU should be much better on offense this season now that Jordan Jefferson is gone. Zach Mettenberger will greatly upgrade the quarterback position in 2012 for the Tigers.
    2. USC – The Trojans are getting Matt Barkley back in 2012 and he instantly makes them a title contender. You have to give Lane Kiffin some credit for keeping the Trojans relevant while on NCAA probation. USC can go to bowl games again and it just might be the BCS Championship in 2012.
    3. Alabama – Nick Saban just reloads at Alabama. The Crimson Tide loses Trent Richardson but they have Eddie Lacy ready to take over. Winning back-to-back titles won’t be easy but you can never count Saban out.
    4. Oklahoma – The Sooners return quarterback Landry Jones and on paper they look even better than last year when they were supposed to be the top team in the country.
    5. Arkansas – This could be the year for the Razorbacks in college football betting as they have the top quarterback in the SEC in Tyler Wilson and Knile Davis returns at running back after missing last season.
    6. Oregon – The Ducks are loaded again on offense as they always are with Chip Kelly as head coach. The bad news is that NCAA sanctions are hanging over this program.
    7. Wisconsin – The Badgers return Montee Ball and he is an early Heisman Trophy contender.
    8. Ohio State – The Buckeyes can’t play in a bowl game in Urban Meyer’s first season but they are still going to be good.
    9. Georgia – The Bulldogs lost their first two games last year and then won 10 straight. Georgia returns quarterback Aaron Murray and a lot of other talented players.
    10. South Carolina - The Gamecocks are now a national power under head coach Steve Spurrier and that should be the case again in 2012
