Louisville 7-5 SU, 8-4 ATS
Louisville started the season at 2-4 but they turned things around and won five of their last six games to reach a bowl game. The defense for the Cardinals was solid all season and kept them in many games but it wasn’t until quarterback Teddy Bridgewater got comfortable at quarterback that Louisville started to win. He set a school record for passing yards by a freshman. "He plays with so much poise and he's a guy that can get us out of bad plays," head coach Charlie Strong said, "It's been fun to watch him. But Teddy's development has come because of the development of the offensive line. ... At the beginning of the season we couldn't run the football. Then our last six games we were able to rush for over 100 yards (every game)."
North Carolina State 7-5 SU, 5-6-1 ATS
NC State also played well down the stretch as they won five of their last seven games. "It speaks to the character of the kids," said coach Tom O'Brien. Quarterback Mike Glennon threw for 2,790 yards and 28 touchdown passes this season.
