College Football Betting - Alamo Bowl

Heisman Trophy winner, Robert Griffin III leads No. 12 Baylor against Washington on Thursday night in the Valero Alamo Bowl. It figures to be a high scoring shootout between two teams with potent offenses and weak defenses. Alamo Bowl betting odds at Diamond Sportsbook list Baylor as a 9.5 point favorite with the total listed at 79 and remember this game will feature live betting at our sportsbook.

    Baylor’s 2nd-ranked Offense

The Bears were second in the country in total yards per game this season with Griffin at the controls. The Heisman Trophy winner threw for almost 4,000 yards this season with 36 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also rushed for 644 yards and nine touchdowns. Griffin is helped on offense by running back Terrance Ganaway and wide receiver Kendall Wright who had 16 and 13 touchdowns respectively.

    Huskies Offense

Washington was not as good as Baylor this year on offense but they did average 31.5 points per game which was 36th best in the country. Washington has a good running back in Chris Polk who ran for 1,341 yards this season.

    No Defense

Neither one of these teams plays much defense. The Huskies gave up 426.3 yards per game and 33.3 points per game this season. Washington relies on turnovers just to slow opposing teams down as they have 22 takeaways this season. Baylor is even worse on defense as they allowed 477.5 yards and 35.7 points per game this season. The total in Alamo Bowl betting odds is almost 80 but neither of these defenses has shown any indication they can stop anyone.
