CFL BEtting - Saskatchewan Roughriders vs Montreal Alouettes

The Canadian Football League campaign continues on Sunday, July 24th at 7:00 ET, and we rev you up for the action with our Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Montreal Alouettes CFL picks. This one from Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada can be seen on TSN and the NFL Network.

    CFL Betting Odds

    Saskatchewan Roughriders ( +11.5 )

    Montreal Alouettes ( -11.5 )

    Over/Under 56

There's no doubt whatsoever that it takes a tremendous amount of fortitude to make CFL wagering picks against the Alouettes right now. They are definitely the hottest team in the East Division, and there is really little argument to the fact that they should be the bona fide, if not the odds on favorite to win a third straight Grey Cup.

QB Anthony Calvillo just broke the CFL record for TD passes in a career last season, but unlike the man that he passed, Damon Allen, it is clear that AC still has plenty left in the tank even though he is in the back end of his career. Calvillo’s 1,038 passing yards is the best mark in the league, and he is the only signal caller to already have double digits worth of TD passes thrown; he has 10 scores against only two picks.

Sure, the Montreal defense has shown some holes, allowing at least 25 points in two of their three games played, but this is the only team in the league that can say it has scored at least 30 in all three of its duels as well.

Including last year’s postseason, the Alouettes are on a five game winning streak and are 3-2 ATS in that run.

Though it might seem foolish to go against Montreal, it is probably just as dumb in appearance to roll with the Roughriders for CFL Week 4 wagering picks as well.

The Green Riders hit a new low last week, losing 33-3 in a total embarrassment against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. This was their third straight defeat to start the campaign, and they are still without a cover to show for their work.

QB Darian Durant has always been known as a bit of a bi-polar signal caller in this league, but this was as low as it gets. He went just 2-of-11 in the first half and finished 9-of-23 with just 95 yards and three picks before mercifully getting benched.

The good news though, is that this is a series that is generally tight in spite of the fact that the Als really smacked around Saskatchewan two weeks ago in Regina. Before the 39-25 beating in Week 2, the previous four meetings had been decided by a grand total of 11 points.

CFL Betting Picks - If the four meetings before this season were decided by a total of 11 points, how on earth can we lay 11.5 with Montreal? No choice but to take Saskatchewan in this spot.
