A matchup of 5-2 teams takes place on Saturday night with Montreal visiting Calgary. The Stampeders lead the West while Alouettes are one game out of first place in the East. Montreal is getting a lot of respect in CFL picks as the betting odds on this game are virtually a pick even though the Alouettes are the road team.
Big Test for Calgary
There is not much doubt that the road to the Grey Cup is going to go through Montreal. The Alouettes are the two-time defending champions and they are starting to look very strong again. Montreal is the top scoring team in the CFL and they have the second ranked defense. Calgary is at home but they have their work cut out to stop Anthony Calvillo and company on Saturday.
"We know where we're at, we know what to do. It's going to be a big test against Montreal." said coach and general manager John Hufnagel
Game Notes
The Alouettes are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games. The Stampeders are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in August. The Stampeders are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a bye week. The two teams have split their last ten meetings but somewhat surprisingly the games have rarely been close. Last year’s games were decided by 25 and 27 points. Two years ago the margins of victory were 13 and 22 points.
