CFL Betting - Calgary Stampeders vs Edmonton Eskimos

The back half of a home and home between Calgary and Edmonton takes place on Friday night in Edmonton. Last week it was Edmonton coming up with a 35-7 win that tied them with the Stampeders for first place in the West. Even though they won last week and are tied in the standings, the Eskimos are underdogs in CFL lines at our online sportsbook.

    Stampeders -3, total 51

It was really ugly last week for Calgary as they were routed at home 35-7 by the Eskimos. The oddsmakers expect Calgary to bounce back on Friday as they are 3-point road favorites in CFL betting. In last week’s game it was the Edmonton defense that dominated the game and set up the offense. Calgary quarterback Henry Burris was under pressure for the entire game and threw two interceptions and fumbled twice. The Edmonton offense really didn’t do anything so that could be another reason why Calgary is favored on Friday.

"Our defense put us in a lot of good situations; we had a lot of short fields to work with. We got four turnovers.” Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray said, “The good thing was we were able to capitalize on most of them. Our defesce just did a tremendous job of setting us up offensively."

Edmonton’s offense is definitely a concern since they scored just one point against British Columbia a few weeks back. Edmonton may have to do more than just rely upon kicker Derek Schiavone to win against Calgary on Friday night.
